What a great first race and a great turn out! 90 riders with points on the board so this is going to be a tough top 50 to get into but we have 2 really tough routes as the last 2 so lets see who can finish them all as that will be the key this month.
And lastly, We tried really hard to explain and defend this championship and why we are doing it the way we do it in the comments last week and we really don’t want another week of going back and forth. This is how its going to be run for the rest of the year and we will open it up to feedback and suggestions at the end of the championship like we did last year. If you don’t like what we are doing, that’s totally fine, you are still more than welcome to join in the races as the more we have the better for everyone, just look at the ROUVY results for yourself and don’t worry about what we are doing here. Please just use the comments to let us know how the race went from your perspective or if you need to report something strange and see if anyone else saw or had the same issue. We are here to try and help and support each other, not criticize.
co-founder of muckersworldwide.com and race organizer! Been into cycling since a kid and spent most of the time on BMX and mountain bikes. Took me longer than most to get the road cycling bug but I was bitten around 5 years ago when I finally got a fully fledged road bike that fitted and I let the flat handled road bike go...
what a tough race. went against the analyzers recommendations of 4 spokes as i felt if i could draft the flatter bits, i’d be quicker overall if i went up the long steep clime on the lightweights rather than trying to drag the heavy 4 spokes up it. Plan went well and i was able to climb quite fast and consistent and at the end, averages a nice 241watts and got 2 new personal records. Still not good enough for top 50 😂, but i’m not far off and a nice baseline of points to work on over the next 3 races, where the last 2 are big-uns!!
Alternative Muckers race as there is meetup in the evening. Gladly Eating-lin joined so we could helped each other over rolling course before main climb. However it was clear he is stronger climber for now and got me quickly distanced there. I erased few seconds back in descent and here comes the finish line. Fingers crossed to those racing later today!

this new format off ranking and points is brilliant 🤯👍 Great work Niel💪
sorry for late reply, usually spend Saturday morning replying but was out in Germany. Thanks for the feedback.
Another great race, Thanks for all the hard work, Neil.
appreciate that. thank you.
