Prices checked Friday 16 October 2026
Right then, Muckers! The clocks are about to go back, the lanes are carpeted in leaves and your wallet is telling you the bike fund is “fine, honestly”. Good news: UK retailers are clearing the decks for winter, and we’ve been through the sale pages so you don’t have to. Below are the cheapest, best-value deals we could actually verify this week, each with the price, the was-price and what you save, plus a clear Best Value Pick in every section.
Every link goes straight to the product page. Sale prices often apply to selected sizes and colours only, so check yours before you get too excited.
Road Bikes: New, Clearance & Nearly New
Sigma Sports is running a warehouse clearance and the numbers are daft. Bonus: all three bikes below come with free UK delivery on bikes and Cycle to Work eligibility.
- 🏆 Best Value Pick: Specialized Allez Sprint Comp (Sigma Sports): £1,699, was £2,599, save £900 (35%). Alloy “super bike” with a carbon fork and seatpost, Shimano 105 12-speed and hydraulic discs. The cheapest way into a proper race-shaped bike on this list.
- Trek Domane SL 5 Gen 4 105 (Sigma Sports): £1,899, was £2,800, save £901 (32%). OCLV carbon, IsoSpeed, 105 groupset, mudguard mounts and room for 38mm tyres. Built for Lancashire potholes and winter miles.
- Cannondale SuperSix EVO 3 Disc (Sigma Sports): £2,699, was £4,000, save £1,301 (33%). Featherweight carbon frame with wireless 105 Di2 shifting. The biggest pound saving of the bunch.
- Nearly new: Cube Agree C:62 SLX (Nearly New, 56cm, 2025) (Tredz): £2,849, RRP £3,999, save £1,150 (29%). SRAM Force AXS and Newmen carbon wheels. Graded “Excellent” (lightly used, minor marks on the downtube, new fork fitted) and comes with a 12-month Tredz warranty. One size, so first come, first served.
Muckers verdict: if you’re 56cm and fancy Force AXS, the Cube is the sneaky one. Everyone else, the Allez Sprint Comp is the sensible head and the Domane is the sensible heart.
Smart Turbo Trainers
Winter is coming and the pain cave won’t heat itself. Every trainer below is a proper smart trainer with automatic resistance, controlled over Bluetooth and/or ANT+ FE-C, so it will link straight up to Rouvy for races, route rides and structured workouts. All four are on Rouvy’s supported trainer list.
- 🏆 Best Value Pick: Saris M2 Smart Wheel-on Trainer (Bill Nickson Cycles): £349, was £429, save £80 (19%). Wheel-on smart trainer with dual ANT+ FE-C and Bluetooth, built-in power, speed and cadence, up to 1,500 watts and 15% gradient simulation. Listed as in stock on the day we checked, and the cheapest verified in-stock smart trainer we found this week.
- Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 Power Trainer (Tredz): £459.99, RRP £499.99, save £40 (8%). Direct-drive smart trainer with Bluetooth, ANT+ FE-C and Wi-Fi, 1,800 watts, 16% max incline and an 11-speed cassette included. A modest saving, but it’s a Rouvy favourite and in stock.
- Tacx Neo 2T Smart Trainer (Tredz): £699, RRP £859.99, save £160.99 (19%). Whisper-quiet direct-drive with ANT+ FE-C and Bluetooth and a realistic ride feel. The one to buy if you share a wall with a light sleeper.
- Wahoo KICKR MOVE Smart Trainer (Sigma Sports): £799, was £1,149.99, save £350.99 (31%). Direct-drive smart trainer that lets the bike move under you, with ANT+ FE-C, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and an 11-speed cassette included. The biggest pound saving of the lot.
Muckers verdict: if you just want to get on Rouvy without remortgaging, the Saris M2 is the sensible head. If Thursday Race Night is your thing and you can stretch to it, the KICKR CORE 2 is the proper direct-drive upgrade.
Helmets
Three Giro road helmets with Spherical brain-protection technology, all at Tredz, all at proper silly money. Sale prices apply to selected sizes and colours only.
- 🏆 Best Value Pick: Giro Eclipse Spherical: from £62.99, was £239.99, save £177 (74%). A sleek aero road helmet. Only a couple of size and colour options are at the sale price, so don’t dawdle.
- Giro Helios Spherical: from £64.99, was £239.99, save £175 (73%). Giro’s well-ventilated performance road lid, with more sale sizes available.
- Giro Aries Spherical: from £84.99, was £299.99, save £215 (72%). Giro’s most premium helmet, just 265g in a medium.
Muckers verdict: a lid that cost £240 for the price of a decent night out. Your head is worth it.
Gloves
Too cold for mitts, too mild for the big winter mittens. Autumn gloves, sorted.
- 🏆 Best Value Pick: Fingerscrossed Mid Season Cycling Gloves (Sigma Sports): £22, was £48, save £26 (54%). Lightweight insulation, touchscreen fingertips and a gripped palm. At the time of checking the £22 taupe pair was in stock in S and L only.
- Altura Nightvision Insulated Waterproof Long Finger Gloves (Tredz): £29.99, was £45, save £15.01 (33%). Insulated and waterproof for the properly grim days. Some sizes show as pre-order.
- Endura FS260 Pro Thermo Winter Gloves (Tredz): from £19.99, RRP £25, save £5.01 (20%). A cheap, cheerful winter staple. Some sizes are £22.50.
Muckers verdict: the Fingerscrossed pair is the one if you’re a small or large. Otherwise the Altura will keep your fingers attached through a Bolton drizzle.
Shoes
- 🏆 Best Value Pick: Northwave Celsius R Arctic GTX Winter Road Shoes (Tredz): from £124.99, was £229.99, save £105 (46%). Gore-Tex winter boots with a carbon-reinforced sole. Dry, warm feet for all of November. The sale price applies to selected sizes.
- DMT KR4 Road Cycling Shoes (Sigma Sports): £130, was £199, save £69 (35%). A race-ready knit shoe with a full run of sizes (EU 39 to 46) in stock at the time of checking.
- Trek RSL Knit Road Cycling Shoes (Sigma Sports): £140, was £400, save £260 (65%). Top-end knit shoe at mid-range money. Only a handful of sizes left.
- Wildcard: Giro Empire SLX (Sigma Sports): £51, was £330, save £279 (85%). Marked “Final Few”, and when we looked only EU size 40 in Carbon Black was in stock. If that’s you, buy them now.
Muckers verdict: if you ride through the winter (and you do), the Northwave Celsius is the best value. If you’re size 40, buy the Giros and tell nobody what you paid.
Final Thoughts
That’s this week’s haul, Muckers. Whatever you pick up, remember the best upgrade is still turning up on Sunday. See you on the road, or in the pain cave on Tuesday night.
Prices and stock were checked on the date of posting (16 October 2026) and can change at any time, including sizes and colours. Sale prices often apply to selected variants only, so check the retailer page before buying.
