23 Riders gathered at the start line for this near 4000ft climb event, hoping it wasn’t going to be as hard as the figures looked. I set off and straight away I was in last place! I’ve still got issues with the Wattbike and worried it might glitch again so I took the long view and took it steady to see if that helped.
The winner for me was the scenery! What an amazing video. 2nd was the actual route which had nice climbs with nice recovery downhills after them. Just a really great route and reminder why we use Rouvy instead of any other platform. OK, now my excuses are out of the way, we can move on to the results😉:
1st was “feelslikemonday” with a time of 1:09:27.1 “PatrykS_Gdynia_PL” came home in a strong 2nd just over a minute behind. These 2 riders are proving the ones to beat on the Muckers events.
3rd was “adampel” who got the jump on his team mate “hinsbergen” for a change and got the medal! well done!
5th was the best placed Muckersworldwide rider “Andy_UP” who had a very close and hard race with “Kylofski” it’ll be interesting to read in the comments how that race unfolded as they crossed the line with just 19 seconds between them.
“Chak” was 7th, 8th was “rouvy1bryon” and 9th was “Svard” all with about a minuite between themselves. Was this riders getting dropped or riders pulling away? hopefully we get the story in the comments.
Finally rounding off the top 10 was “nielsbrynnum” with a very good time of 1:28:19.3. Another 10 came over the line after that, but as an extra incentive, we will only mention the top 10 so hopefully this motivates you a bit more!!??😉😉
Anyway, please comment and let us know how your climb went and well done to all who did this event.

I was doing everything to hold onto a top 10… The engine room had other ideas. Not enough steam to keep up with the Muckers up the road. Chapeau!!!
The video was the star for me as well and made it easier to find a rhythm to get to the finish. Holding “mgk1971” wheel at the finish was good for that final Dig Deep!!! Cheers!
14th was a strong result Shrek! on a tough route with a lot of strong riders, i mean who decides to just do a nice 4000ft ride for fun on a school night….. or was it day for you…. and yes, i will say it again, what a great scenic route. well done!
It was tough this race. “Andy_UP” was on my tail for the first half of the race then in the second he left me but not by mucker. He would drop to 3.2 -3.1W/Kg then when I was only 300 ft behind him he’d boost it to 4.1 – 4.3 W/kg. Really enjoyed this race but had sore legs afterward. Thanks everyone.
3 big hills, total climb of 1200hm. Not a good terrain for a big guy like me with 87kg. 🙂 But I like to ride big mountains even I am not really fast. After the start I focused on myself and let the mountain goats have their own race. At the first uphill I rode at 2.9 W/kg and tried to save some energy for the last part of the race. I had “tomlerieger” with me, so I wasn’t alone. At the top of the hill “Rens_Piccavet” joined us and we were three. At the second uphill I felt good and pushed at 3.3 W/kg at the beginning and kept the speed high. My both companions lost contact and I was alone. Before I reached the top of the hill I was 150m behind “mgk1971” and decided to close the gap. I started my attack downhill and tried to get his wheel. After the downhill and on the flats I cought “mgk1971” and we reached the last mountain. I got into a nice rhythm and he lost my wheel after 2 km. But still 6 km left and I noticed that “Shrek-1970-Challenger” was slowing down a bit. So my next goal was to catch him and close the 100m gap. My legs were getting tired but I tried not to slow down. Finally I reached Shrek and was happy to recover for a few minutes. Unfortunately “mgk1971” increased the speed and was coming closer to us. Increased my speed agian and Shrek struggled. Finally got to the top of the hill alone in 12th position. Was a good race with a fantastic view at the last mountain, the Saentis. This was the first time I saw this mountain straight in front of me (even it was virtuel). When I was young and the weather conditions were perfect I could see the Saentis from my home. The Alps are just great. 🙂 Thanks and congrats to all finishers!
Awesome post Daniel. you are an extremely strong rider and really glad you are part of the team. well done and thanks for the insight from your race. really good read.
Thanks Neil. Many thanks to you and all the work you do. Keep on going. 😃
