MUCKERS 2026 MARCH CHAMPIONSHIP RACE 4.
ROUTE AND RACE DETAILS:
Schorrise to Flobecq | Belgium | 16.9 miles | 1,217 ft. elevation
ROUVY SAYS: Follow the roads of Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne and ride through classic Flemish terrain. From Schorisse to Flobecq, short climbs, exposed roads, and constant changes of rhythm mirror the demands of this early Spring Classic.
WE SAY: Last race to make a difference in this months championship!! And its a proper race route with everything in it! Can you go flat out for nearly 17 miles or will one of the many kickers finally finish you off??? This will be the challenge.
During the day I’ve been going through the earlier races and we are still removing those that don’t supply heart rate data as this has been a championship rule before NITEOR, during NITEOR so it will also continue after NITEOR. We’ve had a lot of riders on those earlier races disqualified so i really hope you see this and realize why.
Also for those of you that did all 4 races this month, if you won your Category you will be moved up, and the riders with the lowest scores, that did all 4 races, will move down a category for next month. Please don’t see it as a demotion, Its a way to put you into a more competitive category next month, and if you win next month, well, you will be promoted back up but at least you picked up those maximum world championship bonus points the month before. We will also be having a look at all the other riders who did less that 4 races to see if anyone stands out like a sore thumb and move them either up or down a category depending on what we see.
You will see the Auto Promotions in the Category tables, symbolized by the arrows in the very end column.

WHATS NEXT TO COME:
SUNDAY HILL CLIMB:
Another double header!! And we are off to do 2 routes from the Wales challenge.
1st route is: RideCymru 2026 | Machynlleth Mountain | 15.83 miles |2,119 ft. elevation and we have given you 75 minutes to complete this if you want to be on the start line before the 2nd ride: (RideCymru 2026 | The Great Orme & Conwy Castle) starts. This one is longer but with the exact same elevation as the first one so if you manage to do both, you will have done 40 miles and a very nice 4238 ft of elevation
Also remember you can be up to 29 minutes late for any “race” on ROUVY so even if you don’t get the first one done in under 75 minutes, you do have some breathing room to get onto the 2nd one, and if you remember that the hill climb championship is only about the elevation, then as long as you get onto the ride, you will still score the same as those that got there sooner and finished faster. So its all good!!
Search “Muckers Sunday” in the ROUVY events search bar to find all the routes we have scheduled so far.
TUESDAY W/KG TRAINING CHAMPIONSHIP
5 Tuesdays this month which means a 3.0w/kg target attempt!!! Luckily we are using the “short” Challenge Malaysia 20 KM challenge route but can you hit the 3.0?? remember even if you can’t, you only loose 1 point per every 0.1w/kg you miss out by so even a 2.5 will get you 5 points, so try your hardest and see what points you can get!
We also have a warm up race scheduled just before the main race using the Challenge Sir Bani Yas 20km | UAE route, starting at 18:25 this might be a nice little starter for some and maybe, too much for others!
Search “Muckers Tuesday” in ROUVY for all the Tuesday races scheduled so far.
THURSDAY APRIL CHAMPIONSHIP 1ST ROUND (TT)
Round 1 for the month means 1 thing! TT race. So no matter what time you race at, you are all equal for this one race as TT means: no draft AND you CAN use a TT bike if you think it will be the right option!
We are using the pan flat IRONMAN Maryland 30 km challenge route so you’d be wise to get as aero as possible for this 18.6 mile long challenge! Nothing more to say really, so remember to search “muckers championship” to find all the championship race and all the different start times scheduled so far!
TO FINISH OFF:
Well done to our automatically promoted riders! Remember we only do the auto up and down for those that do all 4 races in the month! Good Luck next Month!
We will update the World Championship Blog at the beginning of next week. I am away for the weekend and it’s all depending on my return time on Sunday as to when i will update that blog for us all.
Thanks everyone for coming along on this Journey we call Mucker Worldwide, it’s always a pleasure to do this blog and to see how you are all doing!
We have a few new items in the store, even some Italy 2026 items coming through now for those who are coming to this years real world gathering and fancy showing support that way. Even if you’re not coming, these will be only on sale this year so if you like them, help us out and buy a few 🙂 ….But we have also created a few items in the new colorway without “Italy 2026” on them and this will be the color scheme we will primarily use for 2026. Once we hit 2027, these will go off sale as we work on next years colors. We think they look really good, especially the 2 tone trucker caps!! Have a look anyway and let us know what you think.
Okay. that’s it i think. Thanks again for clicking on the blog, especially those of you who’ve read this to the very end. Appreciate it!
Mucker1974

Very tough race but really enjoyable. I even had a rest day yesterday so i was as ready as i could be for tonight and at first it seemed to pay off as i was happily top 30 until we hit the first proper climb. Then my 93kgs and 3.0 climbing average meant everyone just streams past, and I’m soon just outside the top 50 but feeling quite strong. Still drafted and rolled whenever i could so i could take a drink and recover a little and ended up in a great group of 4, but with my closest rival “4world” also keeping me very honest! We got to the last long climb and i was hoping to blitz over the crest to the finish but someone went early and i followed but totally committed to trying to keep it full gas to the top.. i kinda died a little early but thankfully i had a manageable gap to the others and i just concentrated on the gap as i went to the finish line. Enjoyed that.
I will be in category A6 next month! I’ve had a blast in A7 but it’s deffo time to move up 1 and see how i do.
See you for the TT next week!
Congrats on winning your cat and the well-deserved promo Mr. Mucker!
I did my best to give you a good race within a race Neil but, I just couldn’t match your power up that last hill. I’ll keep trying though!! Maybe next time!!😉
Congrats on the promotion! You have been racing well, Neil!
For whatever reason, I didn’t have the start I needed. It wasn’t a bad start; I was doing 6s and when I lifted my head I saw a line of riders. So draft them and move up to the front, as usual. But this time, they all drifted away. I was miffed. Fortuneately, wolli.d came along, and we were subsequently caught by a group which took us to the first climb. wolli.d and I then crushed the climb, I did 4.4, and we dropped the group we were in. We had to keep it going over the top to catch a few riders dropped from the group ahead (Hi, MatthiasHeil! Hi, simonjp!) but we got on and that took us to the second climb. Same thing again: wolli.d and I crushed the climb, I did 4.4, and we dropped the group we were in. We caught a few more dropped from the lead group (Hi, EddyDomino!). I was happy to see Eddy as he was my chief A2 rival. Now we were a group of five and we crushed the third climb, I did 4.4, but no one got dropped. We settled into the rollers and descents and at the end of the descent, 5 km to go, I saw that Micken had been dropped and was riding solo. We reeled him in. The next group had Svard, Chorus, ludwigdb, Yumile, and IvanSagan; I would dearly loved to have caught them, but they were too far ahead. Our group was setting up for the finish sprint anyway. Uphill, then downhill into the chute and finish line. That suited me as I fancy I’m good at accelerating over the crest of a hill and gapping folk. And that is how it worked: Micken was the only one to beat me to the line. It was a fun race despite the start! Pleased with that.
29th out of 77
Another really intense race, was feeling under the weather so had to measure my effort a bit. I committed to the usual tactic of going out hard at the beginning with the quick guys and then sliding back through the field. Managed 4.2 on the first climb and even pushing out 4.3 on the second climb, was only not able to keep up with the mighty Mike Hagen, so had to drop off the pace of the third group on the road and ended up in a group of 4, Berlu, julien and kvanigen which worked together well until the last dash to the line. By which point I didn’t have much left, so was happy to sit up and let the other 3 duke it out.
Not sure how I started better than M. Hagen but somehow I did. Had a plan and pretty much stuck to it. Plan was to go hard but controlled up over the first little rise (< 1 minute), then rest going down, hit the climb at 3.6-3.8 W/Kg and try to rinse and repeat twice. Not surprisingly, about 20 riders rocketed past me on the first climb (including MHagen), but I pretty much held position after that – no complaints. Figured out near the end though that I was in trouble. Klinthomie already missed a race this month because of travel and category leader LinV didn't race this week – leaving me as the only A6 to complete all 4 races. I'll be in A5 next month (trouble!). We'll see how long THAT lasts – I'm guessing not long. Exhibit A: Rouvy1Byron beat me by almost 50 points this month and yet he gets to ride A6 next month, while I'll be struggling against the A5s. Fun times!
Strong showing yesterday, Eric and a well deserved promotion! I could feel you sneaking up on the screen yesterday every time I felt like giving up, haha 🙂
Klinthomie – Hoping you can do all 4 races in April and take your rightful place in A5. You’re going to have to work hard to beat rouvy1byron though. Both you guys belong more in A5 instead of me! Cheers
I was trying to control my prerace anxiety because I had a couple of big goals (finish in the top 50 and stay with Mucker1974 till the finish) for this last race. I had a decent start but, nothing great. Road hard up the first hill, and got in with some good groups. Hi had to work really hard on all the hills to stay in the draft. Not sure how far into the ride it was but, the 4 man group I was in (Mucker1974, Stefun, and DC) stuck together for at least the last 1/4 of the race. We chilled down the last decent and I felt that was the best strategy (to stay with the group and rest up for the climb finish) but, I might have to try something different the next time I finish with Mucker1974 because his kick up the last hill was to much for me. I stayed tight with Stefun and DC and managed to just get by Stefun at the finish. I hit both my goals (finished in 50th and just behind Mucker1974). So a good race and a good month for me.
This was a positive month for me, a very hard challenge in A5 for winner the cat. At 18.00 I did the usually race of the park, but another time I don’t know if was a genius idea.
I’m in house wit my grandsons… and I get up on the saddle just 1.5 minute before the start 😅. Not a right start but I try to take my pace. For a moment I see my directly opponents MNHROUVY, Duckman2 and PanRorisi, the first was disappeared on my screen and shortlist, and then o don’t know if I’m in vantage or not. The first time thanks a lot to Duckman2, he take the front of my small group and always ride hard, and I try to stay in front with him and also we helping together. We work well, also Ratim for a period, and then I see MNHROUVY with MatthiasHell in front with 250 mt and the second hill to do, I find my extra power to this new double carrot, and little a little I cath they and another time start a new race… for won the cat5 😉. The old Sharky of sure would have to shoot all for pass they, but know I do a attend tactic, I worked always near, I think not for win in this little group but win with a placement, very risky because I don’t know how many points is between each rider but I try. Last km we rode very hard, until the end control the situation, and I’m lucky but I just imagine that MatthiasHell don’t want lose the position and in fact he arrived first, MNHROUVY second and Sharky third, but at the end I win the cat only for 1 point.
Thanks and many compliments to MNHROUVY, was a sincerely and hard challenge, the next month I try in A 4 but you see wich rider is here??? Mission impossible for April, but Sharky never give Up 💪👋🫶🏻🦈
Surfed a large group up to the first climb then looked around for allies and potential partners in the knowledge everything was going to splinter into smaller groups. Hugo_Nmt and rouvy1bryon were stronger than me but showed mercy to keep me in touch perhaps knowing I could repay a few seconds and help us leapfrog ahead. They eventually pressed ahead but Ogee was an ever present pacing partner and we were joined by Mikeee73 to group together and get to the line in the Top 50 for the event. I signalled my ‘retirement’ in the final half mile but Antyradziu was approaching so fast I had to get back on the power for the finish.
My collaboration with the guys in the group was like Jonas’s “amazing cooperation” with Remco. But it wasn’t a tactic. It was a fight for survival.
Hahaha. Great analogy. I feel you!
Racing in Belgium always make me happy. Something about that place is so special, and I think back on my time there in 2024, riding around in the area and watching De Ronde.
Anyhoo, back to our race! When we are starting on flat, starting out strong and being in the front 10 is surprisingly easy to me? But then again, I am built like a clydesdale and do have somewhat of an engine. To no surprise, I get dropped by the group at the first sign of incline and surely but slowly, Sharky & co. comes by and give me the thumbs up. Goodbye Mike, goodbye Duckman – it was fun for the two seconds it lasted!
I am particularly motivated by UncleE who is riding with me for the first half of the course and I am sitting on the bike in my basement rooting for Eric to keep going! Hopefully we can have duo going for the entirety of the race. But unfortunately, I lose him – but maybe it is good for the competetion. He is afterall a direct competitor in A6.
ValRdz does her usual trick of appearing slowly behind me, along with Ghostkiller and I latch on to them. I hope to have a group with these two, as they push me to my limit and get me going. But Val drops me and Ghostkiller has a weird thing of dropping behind and then bursting op in front of me, an explosiveness that does not suit my diesel-way of handling things.
In the end, I end up at 42 out of 83 (in the race). I am happy, but also hoped for more. But once I got up on the bike, I could feel that my legs were indeed very sore, and I am tired because of the 6-month old who keeps us up at night. Not an excuse, but I have to keep this in mind so I don’t get too disappointed with my own effort. Patience is not my strong suit.
Number 2 in A6 is nice, considering I missed out on last weeks race. But to be fair, I should soon get up in A5 and compete with those guys. Btw, the new system of promotion and demotion looks really promosing!
Sad to announce that this will be my last Muckers race in a long while, as I will be leaving for USA for the entirety of April. Me and the rest of my family are leaving for Colorado where we are gonna spend my portion of paternity leave along with my best friend and his family. We are gonna be biking around Colorado and New Mexico, which is incredibly exciting. I am thinking that if a height camp works for Jonas – maybe it will work for me 😉
But maybe, just maybe, I can talk my friend into buying a cheap hometrainer and I can join some of the thursday nights … let’s see.
Thank you all for this great community, and thanks everybody who gives thumbs up along the way. I got a rocker plater for my hometrainer, which makes it harder for me to reach my phone and give the thumbs up back haha.
Have a good vacation, and remember, we wait you here 😎😉
Sorry to hear you’ll be missing our races for a while. Enjoy Colorado – it’s a wonderful place for cycling – also home of the US Olympic Training Center. Decades ago, my little brother spent some time there – when people ask me why I gave up cycling for 30 years I always tell them “because my little brother started beating me” – Cheers
have a great vacation Mucker!
Thanks, all of you!
With unexpected toothache i seriously considered to not join tonight. Previously when i raced in this situation, it made things worse, surprise surprise. Armed with ice cubes i joined, with controlled effort. Flat section and three tough short climbs. First rolled over in lead group, second got dropped but managed to get back. Third got dropped again, with strong group behind. Switch to tt mode and keep the group distanced. Happy with effort, tooth feels fine, indulged by ice cubes. Thank you all who joined us!
That was just horrible. Started by short circuiting the electricity with a wet hand when plugging in my elite rizer 25 minutes before start. Total chaos but managed to find a fuse just in time for the start of the race …
The missing warm-up was then followed by 3-4 VO2Max sessions stacked upon each other whenever we hit a steep hill – 5,2 w/kg average on the first hill (including the lower wattages on the long flat ending) wasn’t enough to follow the front (I really should have done more VO2Max sessions or at least more Tiny Races on Zwift this season) so I settled into a fine group after the first climb and like the others basically just survived while waiting for the final sprint uphill. Normally I look for the groups ahead … today I only looked at the rider just ahead of me to avoid any gaps. Horrible race but thanx for the good company guys 👍🏻
I found a glich, I was disqualifed when my hr monitor failed to record, I accept that and I have a plan moving forward to double check that my HR montor is recording. I will gauge my start based on my heart rate instead of watts. But I was also demoted because the data indicates that I raced all four races which I did, but I didn’t get credit for all four. In the end it might not matter because I might get demoted next month anyway but I’m not dead yet 😊😊😊.
Hi Chuck, yeah we saw that! We are thinking on how we can change this rule going forward now we don’t have NITEOR to do it automatically for us. Its quite time consuming and as we’ve learned this month, quite easy to be impacted by (my) human error. I’ve been trying to check all the riders as the races end, but sometimes when i load up someone’s data, it re-loads the previous data again which i can only put down to me doing something too fast when it loads up the leaderboard or something. But, because i don’t know why it does it, I’m having to load and re-load and check slowly now which just isn’t sustainable.
Also, we are quietly confident 99.9% of the regulars, like your good self, really don’t need to be checked every single race. The fact a glitch ruined your score this week, yet we know you are usually spot on, just doesn’t sit right. So we will be changing this from April’s championship, where we will start to list riders as verified or not. once verified, we will leave that rider alone , but random check them going forward. We think this might just work, but we need to try it for a few months and see. But i want something to change from what it is now.
As for you showing as completed 4 races, we want to keep that part, even if riders get a dsq. the more we have with 4 completed races, the more we have in a category table that could get a demotion. But verified riders should now be safe from what happened to you…
But listen, enjoy April!! smash your category, get into the top 50 of the leaderboard and get those 10 bonus points for a category win! Just because you’ve gone down a category, doesn’t mean you are now “slower” all of a sudden. Have a blast and get promoted back up for May! That’s how i would see a drop down, as a chance to get my best months points in!
Anyway, hope this explains why and how it happened, and also shows we are doing something about it.
Good point if I don’t get more points it’s on me – as always thank you so much for all your hard work.
I had again a few 10 m glitches. But as I know what is happening I can push harder right at that moment. It’s annoying and I lost some strenght, but neveer lost my group due this. Sharky and Pan.Rorisi were just stronger in this race.
When I ride with ghost, they had same glitches as me. I hope it will sort.
