Route 4 of the Skoda We Love Cycling challenge on Rouvy

8PM (UK Time) and we set off on the 2nd race of the night! I’ve been trying to work out how to get a picture with the possible winners so I decided to sprint start up the hill, pulling 600watts just so I could get to a point I could take the picture you see as the featured image photo!🥵
2nd Win of the night for “JoseCostaRonda” who finished in a superb time of 0:35:37.2. superb effort tonight. Another superb effort to “Simon_Hahnenbruch” with his second 2nd place of the night showing these 2 were the class of the field and titally on it for both races! 3rd came “PatrykS_Gdynia_PL” to finally get back onto the podium>
A really strong effort from Englishman “Tom-MWW” for 4th, with Muckers worldwide rider “Andy_UP” finally putting in an effort tonight and showing his true form for a strong 5th place. This was just in front of “robbiedoo” who finished just outside the top 10 in race one, to claim a very respectable 6th in this race.
7th, and the 2nd Muckers worldwide rider came “denny44” , followed by fellow German rider “uffzynda” in 8th, then the 3rd Muckers worldwide rider “Shrek-1970-Challenger” in 9th! 3 Muckers riders in the top 10, well done team!
taking the final top 10 position was regular rider “mgk1971” with a very strong time of 0:40:09.4 , just four and half minutes behind the winner.

So sorry for the featured image but I never get anywhere the front of the field so I had to keep the proof there of the nearby list on the left side for when I look back at this in years to come!! 😆 So yes, I went flat out at the beginning, then hit a climb that I couldn’t maintain that kind of effort on and eventually nearly everyone passed me going up it, but I had my 30 seconds of fame and got a photo with me and the eventual winner!! by the time I recovered, I was riding with Tom and catching Chris up quite nicely. Thought when we caught Chris up, he was going to jump on but he didn’t and I was caught in 2 mind! can I really keep up with Tom for the rest of the race, or should I ride with Chris and see how it goes???? I went with Tom and it was hard, and he took most of the lead to be honest, then we had a nice sprint at the end up the little hill which I surprisingly for me, won! Great night of racing all in.
Thanks for this exciting report of the race! Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anybody for a “relaxing draft mode” 🙂 and was fighting against myself throughout the whole race. This robbed me of my strength by the end, and I lost several places until Danny completed my shame and overtook me too. 🙂
After a hard training with 6 Rouvy routes the last 3 days, I don’t feel strong enough for this Sunday’s race, but anyway, I wish you much fun!
