Excellent Budget HR Monitor Chest Strap
POWR LABS
been running this hr sensor for a good 6 months now and its never let me down.
comes with a no questions asked 12 months warranty and battery replacement ( well for me it did here in the UK )
connected right away and has always switched when i’ve gone from the Wattbike hub to the racing platform Rouvy and back again. my last one would just call it quits when I tried to do that and had to power it down and restart connection every time.
really impressed and for the price, a nice little strap that’s even worth just having as a spare or back up ready to jump in when needed.

I have the same one, on the recommendation of Neil, and it has performed seamlessly as Neil described. It does come with free battery replacements for 12 months. They are, probably, pretty sure the battery will last 13 months. 😉
cheers Chris and glad something I recommended is still going strong. Just a point about batteries, my last strap needed batteries every 3 or 4 months and the internals all went rusty. and that was an expensive one from one of the main players. so even if they have designed it to only use up a battery every 13 months ( I know you were joking ) then a few quid every year isn’t the worse expense is it and still better than my last experience.
Folks,
I’m on my…I don’t know at least 3rd Garmin HRM Dual strap in 2 years. They say it lasts 3 years. It does not😠. The last one failed a week ago after our Muckers race with just over a year of use. Here’s the kicker the one before lasted 6 months.
I’m buying one of these!!!
Thanks, Muckers!!!!
Sean “Shrek”
Good luck with it Sean. if it last more than a year with Shrek using it then it’ll last for anyone. Keep this post updated though if it does fault!!
Neil,
Power Labs HRM got here in just enough time for the Tuesday Night Race, 31Jan2023. Good thing because the Garmin was coming in on “a Wing & a Prayer”. Last couple of rides I had to unscrew the battery compartment to stop it from transmitting. This translates to like 10 years of use per Garmin’s website for endurance. Two of the mounting brakes were beginning to strip.
Power Lab linked up to Rouvy and my Garmin Fenix 5 Sapphire quicker than I can make an Espresso 🙂
Ciao,
Shrek
excellent! definitely keep this post up to date now we have three of us running these HR chest straps as it’s only good for fellow muckers to see if these are any good over the long term. Cheers.
