You can always tell from the number of “dnfs” at the end of a race, just how tough a ride it was! This was exactly that, a tough route with a start that took you into a 1200ft climb in just over 2 miles! Now that is a warm up, and a race in itself on some routes on Rouvy but on this route, that was just the start! You then had some “recovery” downhill time till you hit just over half way, then you had the pleasure of a gradual climb for about 8 miles, followed by an ever steeper climb for the last 3 and a bit miles to the finish. 🥵

adampel” absolutely smashed this one, and reading his Strava post, he seemed to really enjoy the win! With an average power of 294w for the whole race, this was an absolute savage display and I can only have the upmost respect for those who tried to stay with him! 2nd was the ever consistent “PatrykS_Gdynia_PL” just over a minute behind with adampels team mate “hinsbergen” taking the bronze. 4th was “bismo” with a solid effort to keep in touch with third, then a gap had formed to 5th place “Vailtje” who ended up a further 3 minutes behind at the finish.

So who took the next 5 places in the top 10 and who just couldn’t take that last climb? 6th place went to “juan_fornell” who finished half a second in front of 7th place “nielsbrynnum” I’d love to know how that came to be so if any of you guys read this, please let us know in the comments.

8th was “robinpietschmann” with muckersworldwide team rider “Chak” in 9th, only 30 seconds behind 8th. Really impressive ride Chak and so glad you keep getting the team in the top 10 even when the competition seems to be getting stronger and stronger with every race we organize. Finally, just 12 minutes behind the the race winner was “daniello75“, awesome effort to get into the top 10 on such a hard route.

8 people didn’t finish this one so everyone who completed this is a winner in my book. well done and as per usual, please comment if you can.

NICE FLAT BIT WHICH WAS JUST NOT LONG ENOUGH!!

    Kyles Race report:

During my segment of the race, I had a goal to keep my heart rate below 143 beats per minute (bpm) on the first climb while exerting 3.3 watts per kilogram. However, I reached 148 bpm, so I adjusted my goal to maintain a heart rate below 150 bpm for the duration of the ride. I started the first hill alongside “Mucker1974” and “Shrek-1970-Challenger,” but as we hit the long straight, they pulled ahead and I was left behind. As I watched miles go by slowly, “tomlerieger” breezed past me. In the distance, I could see the next hill, and I noticed that “Mucker1974” and “Shrek-1970-Challenger” were slowing down. I continued to keep my heart rate under 150 bpm while catching up to them. The previous day, “Shrek-1970-Challenger” had completed a 7,000-foot climb and was visibly tired. I offered to help pull them up the hill, but “Mucker1974” declined, and “Shrek-1970-Challenger” latched onto my back wheel. Halfway up the final hill, “Shrek-1970-Challenger” dropped off, and I decided to chase down “tomlerieger.” After a two-minute pursuit, I overtook him and began closing in on “jeff65” and “Andy_UP.” I finished the race 2 minutes behind both of them, but I was happy with my average heart rate of 142 bpm and a maximum of 151 bpm. It was a great race!
