7:50pm and who’s got the legs for a 7 mile sprint!!!??? hopefully everyone’s here and you’ve saved a little for the climb at the end of this race!
I had to do a ‘double-take’ when I saw the podium on this, the 2nd Race of the night is an exact copy of Race 1. “Tuden” snatches victory away from “hinsbergen” by a much narrower margin of 0.1 seconds and will no doubt sleep better than his opponent tonight, unless of course, he gets leg cramps like me. Another bronze medal for “nelsonsnyder” who this time appears to have out sprinted “karl_sousek” who claimed 4th spot. “stephane-martin” rounded off a fine night in 5th well clear of 6th placed “yayarecki”, who in turn, beat latest MuckerWorldwide team signing “Loki1972”, welcome to the team Mucker, our squad is getting stronger and stronger. Brazilian rider “V3Team” pipped regular Tuesday night racer “lrollin” over the line for 8th and 9th positions. Final mention goes to 10th place “robbiedoo” who came from a long way back to claim this spot ahead of a rider in 11th who was simply not quick enough to get a mention tonight … never mind Mucker … try harder next time.
Kudos to everyone tonight, it was hot in many countries, we look forward to seeing you again at the next race.
Championship standings will be published tomorrow after 2LATE4ME races have been run.
Cheers

This one suprised me. I was about to go 3W/kg easy start again then noticed the slight gradient at the start, I thought why not go hard up the first bit then settle into a group. Found myself with some strong names then couldn’t quite hold on to the group … suddenly ‘robbiedoo’ came along with a look over his shoulder that said “stop messing about, they are getting away”. I dug deep and we actually did a great job bridging back to the group I’d just lost, Rob was pulling more than me in a ratio of 2:1, but I’d like to think my effort was needed by him just as much as I needed his. As we caught all those little ‘rollers’ came at us requiring a real stint of power for me, I kept thinking I was going to ‘pop’ soon and I felt a few teammates were definitely giving me a wheel here and there towards the end. With the line approaching I thought “what the hell, go hard out of the saddle”, and it worked, held off a few guys that I was just happy to be amongst.
well the answer to ‘pffft ,how much can 6 miles hurt’ is A lot . legs were tapping out SOS before the countdown and they didnt stop moaning all the way , didnt even try to put out a big push and just thought , just make it round , I was sporting my new shirt as well !in a group and was shirking my responsibilities a lot of the time , still struggling to control working in a group instead of just one sustainable effort till popping , thought , this is doable until the last mile when pace upped a bit , then last half mile , it upped a bit more , then quarter of a mile you all went nuts !! if anyone is interested I have now listed my legs and lungs on marketplace , would have added heart but it exploded . now its morning I will say thanks and good riding – I would have said that through gritted teeth last night but now I sort of enjoyed it – guess I should list my memory as well on marketplace !
A nightmare Tuesday, first race I tried 4 times to connect but I couldn’t. In this race, there was 1 minute left and when the screen appears, everyone started 1 minute ago… shit… all nervous, I’m off to try and recover, but it’s not so obvious, you’re all strong. In my opinion there was still some line error because one moment I’m 18th and one moment later I’m 20th. The result was a stressful and very little enjoyed race.
Go hard up the first hill, then see who’s around was my idea, and then Steven said the same on the whatsapp. So ok, guess he might be around on the top. I know (from sunday) he has some great form and doesn’t get tired (he did 3’s after 2h of climbing on sunday…) So he was my target today to ensure I ended up in a respectable place. All went well and a nice group did the final 3 hills. They went fast and I barely could hold on. Last hill I had to let them all go, just Bett.. I mean Berty was just in front of me and I just had to try and overtake him in the last 300m. To my surprise I could. This is a rider that’s on my “cannot beat” list. I just put an “?” behind it 😉
pffft – you better be on guard for next week – I’ve got new legs coming from amazon – throw these matchsticks away – getting turbo powered tree trunks !!
This race was fun. I had planned on riding the Late race but when I looked at the rider count, I thought I had better odds of a better finish in this one. As I remember it, we went out mildly fast and quickly settled into a spot where shoffmann was behind me and Rens and robbidoo were out front by almost a quarter mile. As we continued I realized we had a nice little group, flyger, Dolph, shoffman, and tranberg were all together. We started to push a bit, leaning on each other for the draft. At around halfway I made a push to close the gap on Rens and everyone came along. Up the climbs, we were all pushing, trying to break each other down. But it didn’t work, we all stuck close. On the flats we went back to drafting, saving power for the next attack. I really thought I could get a 15th finish but flyger and tranberg made a push that I couldn’t counter. I pushed with everything I had left to make sure I could keep 17th. This turned out to be one of my favorite races and burned my legs to the core. One to go!!
