ROUVY’s Black Friday Plans

Beyond Black Friday

We recently reached out to ROUVY to inquire about their Black Friday plans, and we wanted to share their response with you. We know many of you were really hoping for a classic Black Friday deal, and we did push for that in our discussions with ROUVY. However, they’ve decided on a different approach this year.

Instead of offering big discounts, they’re focusing on rewarding their loyal customers through their flexible pricing and loyalty program. This program offers various benefits, including discounts and ongoing rewards. While many of us might be hoping for some juicy Black Friday deals, ROUVY believes this approach provides better long-term value. They emphasized the loyalty discount on shared plans, which is particularly relevant for us Muckers who often ride together. This allows groups of two or five to split the cost of a subscription, making ROUVY an even more affordable option. One of the best perks is the ability to form groups with the Duo or Group plans. Splitting the cost offers the best deal available, unmatched by any other platform (besides MyWhoosh of course!). So we encourage members who often ride together to take advantage of this option.

ROUVY also mentioned they’re working on a communication plan to explain this shift in Black Friday strategy. We’re interested to see how they’ll convey this message to an audience that’s expecting traditional discounts.

    Be aware… everyone check your loyalty bonus and apply it immediately, it will show as a credit towards your next renewal. Rouvy do not apply it automatically, it will expire if not claimed, you have to claim it.

    Obviously, it’s disappointing not to benefit from a 25% Black Friday deal, but the loyalty discount is actually a very good deal and the increasing discount over 1, 2 and 3 years onwards is currently a ‘bird in the hand’ rather than ‘hoping’ for a Black Friday deal each year … so I’m taking it as a positive.

    I was quite surprised that ROUVY decided not to go with the Black Friday discounts this year. but maybe they are trying this approach this year and seeing how the figures look compared to last year? totally speculative thoughts min you but we are where we are so please look out for the best deal you can get and if you have any questions, our subscription guru Steven Ludford will in no doubt be willing to help you. (we just named him the guru tonight as he always knows the right thing to do on all matters subscriptions!)
