First, i apologize for the delay. We had a family bereavement which meant we had to fly out to Spain on Friday morning. so instead of getting on with the blog on Thursday night, we were booking flights and packing cases for us and the kids. I am back now, so lets catch up with the results from last Thursday Race.
Remember riders, if you want to be taken seroiusly in a Muckers race, and get world championship points, Heart rate data is needed. If you are serious about your training why would you not want to see your heart rate. Its £20 for a sensor off amazon and a cheap way to “help” show you’re really doing what you say you are doing
ROUVY ROUTE USED:
GWA Iceland | Stage 1 – Seljalands Falls | 12.66 miles | 82 ft. climbing
EXTRA TIME SLOTS REPORT:
2LATE4ME saw 6 riders finish so well done to “bobo64” for the win (be great to see some HR though) , “Tyler.” for the Silver (same goes for HR here as well) and Bronze for Muckers Team Rider “cdtchris” who’s figures look absolutely spot on!
2EALRY4ME only had 2 finishers and it was 2 Canadian Muckers Team riders with “Chak” getting the only mention…. sorry to the other Mucker, especially as you both probably rode together and you both have spot-on stats! 😏
RISE&RIDE gets a nice 8 riders crossing the line with a top 3 of “valoemel” in 1st (Another winner with no HR data), in 2nd comes “TartanBiker” (yep, no HR data here either) , and in Bronze position “Rotaboy” (making it 3 for 3 from the rise&ride version for lack of HR data😥😥)
EARLY-ON gets 7 over the line, so lets see if any of this top 3 have a heart rate strap on! 🤞🤞🤞 Gold goes to “Hans.Holm.Moeller” who restores the faith with some nice looking stats, Silver to “mdfahmi” who has some very strange looking stats, but hey, at least we have some to look at but i will ask them to have a look and try and work out why the power was so low apart from 2 massive spikes?? And do we have any stats for “k.kasaba” in 3rd place?? YES!!! and they look superb. well done “EARLY-ON” squad!! well done!!
LATER-ON is a great race! 16 riders had a crack at this with the top 3 being “FlyingSkywalker” in 1st, “PeterOldGit” in 2nd and “Roadfighter” in 3rd but who lets the squad down with no HR data!
MAIN RACE REPORT:
240 registered riders!!! translates to 151 finishers! what a race this was! So lets run through basically a list of Hitters who have all pretty much been mentioned a lot this year!!! But rules is rules 😁
2.2 seconds covers this top 20 by the way so it really could have been in any order. This was down to drafting and when you attacked!
1st is given to “BareRemi” , but the man of the race has to be our very own Muckers Worldwide Team member “Svard” who gets 2nd!! Amazing result and well deserved, mixing it right up there where you should be! 3rd comes “Simon_Hahnenbruch”, 4th “nielsbrynnum” (yep, that’s 2 Muckers Team riders in the top 4!! proud dad time 😂), 5th “DonMatteo_07” , 6th “ErlendSundstrom”, 7th “Gil.Mad.i0”, 8th “przemokrk” , 9th “Badeskum” and 10th “Alieno79” ! Like i said earlier, HITTERS!!
11th gets awarded to “Stefan793”, 12th “TijsV”, 13th “hinsbergen” , 14th “STADLER-TONI”, 15th “IvanSagan86” , 16th “lrollin”, 17th “jfgagnon”, 18th “karel_sousek”, 19th “breers33” and final mention to “Jenssorli” in 20th, but like i said, this could have been in a totally different order if just 1 rider had gone 20 watts harder at some point!
co-founder of muckersworldwide.com and race organizer! Been into cycling since a kid and spent most of the time on BMX and mountain bikes. Took me longer than most to get the road cycling bug but I was bitten around 5 years ago when I finally got a fully fledged road bike that fitted and I let the flat handled road bike go...
Hello. The race was chaotic but fast and I had a late finish, as usual. Reaction time still needs to be improved, but 8th place is a good result. I have 5% ballast and I’m in the A2 category. I thought I’d be in A1 after so many race wins, but it’s just fun.
hi, we are still working out the categories. we are seeing how it looks if we update after every event this month. then next month we will leave them alone. just seeing hoe NITEOR see’s the stats.
Hi, better ranking and worse W/kg compare to Alp D’Huez. I have no rocket starts, and I couldn’t get to first group (I gues that I would drop anyway). I’m not high cadence rider, so I don’t like these fast races.
Neil didn’t you think to do category according riders W/kg ratio?
Hi Tomas, i try to leave the thinking to the others. I’m more the good looks of the outfit.. ok, maybe not, but please see my reply above and just don’t worry about the cats at the moment. they mean nothing at this point.
