Thank you to everyone that purchased some merch via the Black Friday/Cyber Monday discount we ran. really appreciate the love!
The remaining races are all scheduled so you can find them all on Niteor by finding the Muckers December Championship tile, or via Rouvy by searching “Muckers December Championship” in the search box on the events page!
This is the first month i have changed the standings to use your fasted attempt on any start times rather than the default “first time set”. Didn’t know i could do this on NITEOR so it means you can have a go in as many of the versions you want to.
The last Race this month falls on Boxing day so i have scheduled them all on the 26th AND the 27th. Again, like i mentioned above, you can have a go on any day or both days. its your fastest time that will be used. This option will run into next years championship as well.
ROUVY ROUTE USED:
GWA Colombia | Stage 6 – Santa Elena | 8.5 miles | 1,611 ft climbing.
EXTRA TIME SLOTS REPORT:
2LATE4ME: 10 Finishers!! That’s excellent, with “Gilson12” (nice stats) getting the gold, “Darth_Puncheur” (nice stats) in 2nd and “Guthinger-Mike” (nice stats) getting the Bronze. Nice start to the extra time slots report from the 2late4me crew!!
2EARLY4ME: Just the 1 finisher from the 3 starters , so well done to “RJL1925” (nice stats) for a very good solo time!
RISE&RIDE: 12 Finishers!! So we have the top place of the podium goes to “STADLER-TONI” (nice stats), on the 2nd step “Hans.Holm.Moeller” (nice stats) and on the final step comes “EddyDomino” (nice stats) Well done and we hope this start time keeps growing!!
EARLY-ON: Just the 3 finishers on this version, so just 1 mention here and it goes to “alby110” (NO HR) who lets the team down with no Heart rate data so gets a well done for the win but, doesn’t get a “Nice stats”!
LATER-ON: 4 finishers so we get a top 3 podium mention here! 1st place goes to “tieutieu” (NO HR) , 2nd to “Francis34” (nice stats) and 3rd comes “Lorenzino” (NO HR) . Shame the later-on crew let us down with lack of Heart Rate data!
MAIN RACE REPORT:
185 registered riders for the Main Race! Over 100 finishers (101 to be precise) which isn’t a bad result from 185 registered riders considering we send the invites out well in advance so people will have signing up for this for quite some time.
As per usual, I’m typing this up whilst listening to Inside Cycling Worlds You Tube coverage of the race. “Alieno79” looks to have caught the other 3 closest rivals napping and pulled out a nice lead for the downhill! This lead to a 3 way fight for the last 2 podium places which ended up with “BareRemi” in 2nd, “ErlendSundstrom” in 3rd and just off the podium comes “Gil.Mad.io”
A 2 way for 5th won by “Timfmoore” in front of “karel_sousek” , then “VeloBuch” comes in solo in 7th, a French 2 way won by “sylv30330” in 8th just in front of “millony” in 9th then “nelsonsnyder” came in solo to round out the top 10!
Continuing the solo routine comes “FlyingSkywalker” in 11th and “lrollin” in 12th, then we have 3 way for 13th to 15th won by “Stefan793” just in front of “Stefan_Schmidt” and then “JJRobinson”. “IvanSagan86” comes over the line in a solo 16th, as does “alfiocrist75” in 17th and “MichalH” in 18th, But right at the end of the top 20 mentions we have a 3 way sprint for the last 2 mentions, which ended up going to “tranberg” in 19th and “m-forby” in 20th!
Great racing everyone and please watch Colin’s YouTube video to see these and lots of other riders coming over the line!!
Also, if this is your 1st mention or you’ve had a few this year, we have a special edition T-Shirt celebrating this in the shop which will be replaced next year with the 2025 versions so please get your 2024 one asap before they go off sale!

co-founder of muckersworldwide.com and race organizer! Been into cycling since a kid and spent most of the time on BMX and mountain bikes. Took me longer than most to get the road cycling bug but I was bitten around 5 years ago when I finally got a fully fledged road bike that fitted and I let the flat handled road bike go...
looks like another struggle is at hand for a top 50! 78th at the moment and that took a new FTP record just to get that! tough climb as it wasn’t exactly long, but you knew you had to push harder than normal as it wasn’t exactly a 3000fter if that makes sense. had lots of races within the race with various riders that i contact via strava after the race so no need to go over it all again here, but in a nutshell: strong start, draft on the flat, settle into 3.0 for the climb, go faster, get a stitch, slow down, get over taken, go harder, get another stitch, slow down, see kyle in my nearby list, push harder to the top then still push on the downhill to keep momentum. yep, that just about sums it up.
Another good race for me. Pushed hard on the climb, I could see Mads (Grochang) ahead, maybe I can catch him, maybe I can catch him. But mostly it was seeing Badeskum, Karianne, and chorus chasing behind that spurred me to a year’s best FTP. Didn’t want to be caught. Did catch Ondur just before the top, and we had a nice battle over the last km. Couldn’t get him at the line in spite of a 9 W/kg sprint, which is high for me–not sure where that came from! Kudos to all that finished.
Keep on going in Colombia. This time more hilly, yet again short race. So i did one hour easy workout before, because i expected it will be sprint from start till the end. Up to twenty riders in first flat part, then selection started in the drafting climb. I was feeling better than yesterday, however few watts got lost over daily activities. First half of climb i was not sure i can stay with leaders, but i did.
Few moments take a breath and final section came. Just before horizon i was distanced with new rider Timfmoore who was riding strong. I entered sprint finish in front of him, but got beaten on the line. It is shame, but i can admit all riders ahead were today stronger. Very hard race, thank you all who joined us!
My kind of route this time. Short and punchy. I even managed to make my 2nd best 20 minute W’s ever, so the bloodtaste during the last hill had its reason. I got with the first group of around 30 until the climb and from then on, it was just trying to hold on as long as possible. On top of the last hill I just managed to get with strong m_forby and anatso so we could go to the sprint together, where I took a slim win to get a top 20 and a rare mention with so strong competition! Brilliant race!
A short 13km race. Sounds easy, but it wasn’t! We started with a drafting section, then a good climb of around 450 metres and a fast downhill at the end. I was able to hold a decent position in the first section and not ride too hard to have enough power for the climb. On the climb there were familiar names nearby, Neil (Mucker1974) and John (Duckman2). Both went a bit faster and were able to leave me behind. I tried to find my rhythm. About halfway up the climb I was able to catch up again. Caught up with Neil first, passed him and made my way to John. Heny and miicha were still ahead of me (if I remember correctly). Shortly before the end of the climb, I added a few more coals and set off to catch up with miicha. To my surprise, John couldn’t keep up the pace. I caught up with miicha at the top and had distanced John. Now it was time to ride well downhill and prepare for the final sprint. Wow! miicha didn’t make it easy for me. 11+ w/kg was just enough to win the sprint against him. Well done everyone!
What a miserable start. I don‘t know what happened. I was not able to get a comfortable draft and was suddenly around 70. I lost a lot of time. I was so glad once finally the climb began. I was at position 62. Now it was time to put an all time 20 minutes power record in my books. At the top of the climb I was only 20 meters away from the duo Tranberg and m-forty (on position 19 and 20) and anatso another 15 meters away but I could get on their wheels before the descent. I at least managed to stay at my 22nd place with strong downhill riders behind me. This was Ok but I wanted to get the mention in this race as this might have been my last championship race this year (maybe again on the 19th) due a lot of traveling in the next week and as there was a nice climb for me on this course. Well done to all riders. It is so fun to do the Muckers races, to ride and compete with all of you (and the Danish guys) and I‘m happy to on it for a long time. Stay safe my friends and happy holidays. Patrick
