Reflection on Muckers Worldwide’s Journey in 2023
Hey Muckers,
As we wrap up an incredible year, I can’t help but look back at the journey we’ve shared as Muckers Worldwide. It feels like just yesterday when Neil and I casually chatted about setting up a website for our WhatsApp group, inspired by the name some of you coined for yourselves on Rouvy – “Muckers Worldwide.”
Our little idea took flight, and what a ride it’s been!
Our Online Hub
Our website is now more than just a space on the internet; it’s a vibrant reflection of the spirit that makes Muckers unique. If you haven’t checked it out, swing by and get a taste of our world.
Rouvy Races:
Three races a week on Rouvy – rain or shine! The turnout has been phenomenal, with over 100 riders joining us in the virtual arena. It’s not just about the competition; it’s about the camaraderie that makes each race special.
Rouvy Recognition:
Being recognized by Rouvy as one of their “Rouvy-connected virtual cycling communities” is a badge of honor for us. It shows the impact we’ve made in the virtual cycling scene, and it’s all thanks to each one of you.
Real-world Presence:
Who would’ve thought we’d have our own cycling kit, both in the virtual and real world? Thanks to Owayo, our official kit provider, we’re not just Muckers on Rouvy; we’re Muckers on the road, too.
Mucker Flanders Tour:
The Mucker Flanders Tour was a blast, and the success has us planning for a repeat. And guess what? A Dutch Muckers Meet-Up is on the horizon. If you’re interested, drop us an email at team@muckersworldwide.com.
Community Connection:
Our YouTube channel, Discord server, Instagram, Facebook, and Strava group – we’re everywhere! Big shoutout to Chad Richie, our YouTube streaming maestro, for bringing the Mucker Races to screens around the globe.
Looking Forward to 2024:
With over 215 members on our Strava group and growing engagement across platforms, I can’t help but be excited about what 2024 holds for us. The journey is just getting started, and I’m thrilled to be on this adventure with each one of you.

Thank you Kyle and Neil for putting in so much effort in organizing all these races for us 🙏👏. Thanks to you guys I could stop organizing my races and just tell all my friends to join yours 😉. So much more fun to race in a big crowd like this with names that keep coming back which gives you really the feeling of riding with friends 🥰. Looking forward to what you have planned for 2024. Many thanks to Neil and Kyle for creating this racing format,found the mucker races 18 months ago,and it’s amazing how they have grown in numbers.Love riding in the light blue peloton,and with familar riders,makes you work harder and the experience more enjoyable.Keep the good work up chaps,and looking forward to 2024 !
thank you guys for all the work you do, I discovered the rollers 1 year ago and I didn’t think that after having met by chance this spring I could find a feeling like this, many friends who by dint of finding each other in the races, we have all been friends forever.

I just want to echo what has already been said – thank you both for the big effort you make, facilitating this community into a fun and engaging group of cycling friends 😀
Around mid-October the outdoor season is at an end in my part of the world and this is my 3rd indoor season now, and past two was spent on Tacx/RGT. RGT closed its virtual cycling world which prompted me to switch platform and Zwift lacked the “real world” appeal and I went for Rouvy. Glad I made that switch!
Keep it up, have fun and lets hope 2024 will provide even more fun! 😀
Merry Christmas Neil & Kyle, and as a new member of this unique group, I’m also looking forward to 2024. I’ve found myself back on the competition level, and much closer to virtual friendship among your guys. Who knows, I might even get to know some of you IRL.
I used to ride/compete with a Danish group called “BareCykling” in the winter season here on Rouvy, and some of these guys are now cycling here, among other things because BareCykling didn’t make any races this year, and also the joy to bring back this special kind of community vibe, where people interacts with each other from all over the world. What would life have been without internet and Neil & Kyle😉
