8pm UK time and into a Hill Climb Race. 16 On the start line which eventually ended up with 3 giving up for whatever reason on this long gradual climb.
1st to the top was “PatrykS_Gdynia_PL” with a superb time of just under 42 minutes. Reading his Strava comments, he seemed very much in control of this, didn’t have too much pressure and was just the right type of event for him. 4 Minutes later “nielsbrynnum” came over to claim the silver with “Coci” just a minute and a half behind with a superb bronze and nice gap back to 4th which was claimed by the Canadian rider “rouvy1bryon“.
5th was the first muckersworldwide rider “Chak“, followed by fellow Canadian rider “kin_kwan” in 6th. 3 Canadian riders from 4th to 6th places with about a minutes separating them all. was this solid effort planned??😊🤨
Two muckersworldwide riders next: “Svard” in 7th and “Andy_UP” in a 8th ( well done guys!!) followed by “Zelly” in 9th with a great time under the hour mark, then the nice and easily typeable😏 “R2-525-FILIPPO-DALLICIANI” in 10th. superb effort from everyone to get top ten here.
3 more came over the line to make it 13 finishers and you’ve got to say well done to those as well as this was a grind once you hit the hour mark! 3 gave up but you didn’t! Well done.
As per usual, please leave a comment and let us know how the race/climb/hurt went for yourselves.
Cheers

I knew this was going to be bad for me!! I’m not the best climber and I put all my efforts into the 18 mile warm up race, so I downed a gel and just got my head down to get this route done so it helped to complete the challenge! I soon found my rhythm and was just behind cdtchris and just in front of alexmatiu. I can honestly say that the constant pressure from alex behind was all that kept me grinding away and I thank him for not quitting as if he had, I’d have backed right off and probably completed 20 minutes slower, I was that tired! Well done everyone else and especially those who did both events. tough night of racing..
