The 3rd of my cool down Races and I don’t think 8 of the 10 were cool at the end of it ! 😂 Some of these guys weren’t even in the main race so you can’t exactly blame them for having go, But I can say 9th and 10th definitely used it as a cool down.
“EdAlves” got this win with an average speed of just over 25mph! That is some speed! Then just 6 seconds behind came “PatrykS_Gydynia_PL” , followed even closer home by “robbiedoo” in 3rd!
An extremely close battle for 4th between “A-Capelli” and Muckers Worldwide rider “S.Ludford” saw the french rider just get over the line in front of the English Man, then a Gap to the potato soup fueled ( I promise this is the last time I refer to you as this… unless you say it again!?) “uffzynda” , who came home just infront of fewllow German rider “Rank” in 7th. The top 7 riders all finishing in the 15 minute bracked.
in a little bit of no mans land came “alexmatiu” in 8th who I can’t be sure if it was a cool down or just backed off from the main race? Maybe he will let usknow??
Then in 9th came the very tired “Mucker1974” who rode round with team mate “denny44” to cool down after the tough first race, but still averaged a fairly respectable average speed considering.
cheers.

“EdAlves” has a very nice lead in the championship having done all 3 races and won 2! “robbiedoo” and “Mucker1974” are the only other 2 riders to have finished all 3 riders and this places them in 2nd and 3rd in the leaderboard. 3rd isn’t bad considering Mucker is just cooling down on these races! 4th is “Patryk” with 2 2nd places, and 5th is “uffzynda whos had 2 race finishes in 5th and 6th. Is anyone going to stop “EdAlves“??

cooled down all the way till denny asked me to pick it up a touch which was well within my capabilities so I obliged and we came home together and it was just nice to spin the legs up with low to medium effort.. Still 3rd overall but the next one might see me drop if the guys below me join in again! Nice pace Denny.
After missing the 1st MuckersWorldwide race of the evening I arrive on the start line at Tokyo with fresh legs to see some strong riders warming up and hoping they’ve used up lots of energy in Race 1. I start hard and hope to hang on, City courses with traffic lights are not ideal for Rouvy racing as we are faster than the video for a long time and I am traumatised after seeing a fellow racer vaporise into an oncoming car. ‘EdAlves’ was too strong and was not going to lose this one, congratulations. ‘PatrykS_Gdynia_PL’, ‘robbiedoo’, ‘A-Capelli’ and myself ride together well but I sensed I was the weakest in the group, it soon became a race for 2nd between ‘PatrykS_Gdynia_PL’ and my fellow Brit ‘robbiedoo’ who had both performed well in Race 1 already … ‘wow’, then a race for 4th between ‘A-Capelli’ and myself – we jockeyed for position ready to sprint, I went first, slightly too early, ‘A-Capelli’ hit hard (10w/kg) in response and nailed me on the line … Chapeau Monsieur.
it is a bit of a conundrum isn’t it doing the city routes. one one hand you just want to ride and have a look at the sights of a city you might never actually go to, then on the other hand you want to see where your competitors are so you visually stay in the race! Cities do tend to have a lot of traffic lights so it does make the video stop and start. a lot and also the dreaded head on collisions! your comments take me back to my first ever ROUVY ride which was a city route, just to see, and i thought it wasn’t for me due to all the pauses and disappearing avatar! so glad i stuck it out now but it was 50/50!
I do love a fresh legged blast around these routes so i don’t blame you for having a go! cheers, for the comments.
