Muckers Thursday Race Night. 02/03/23

Rouvy route used: Old Kern Road | California | USA | 12.85 miles | 958 ft of climbing

Route 2 from the USA Desert Destinations | EASY | challenge

29 registerd | 18 finishers | 11 dns

Tonight’s main race only had 18 riders on the line but everyone of them finished this quite hilly for a 12.8 mile route. Really nice scenic route with some long climbs awaited us and at 10 past the hour, we set off

bismo” won tonight (I think this is his first win from recent memory?) with an awesome time over jut over 32 minutes with “Simon_Hahnenbruch” just a second behind, in erm, second.😆 Bronze was claimed by “PatrykS_Gdynia_PL” who must be getting weighed down but all these medals as he is hardly ever off the podium. Well done to the three of you on some very strong performances.

Pierrost” claimed a very impressive 4th place, then came the best placed muckers worldwide rider “Andy_UP” with a very impressive 5th place. 6th gets awarded to the very consistent “rouvy1bryon” , 7th to the slightly lower than usual placed “Chak“, 8th to “otero22“, 9th to “frankiep77” then the final slot in the top 10 to “Rank” with a very good time of 0:38:46.1

quite a few new names in this one so thanks for joining our race and I hope you can leave a comment to let us know how the race went for yourselves.

cheers.

18th and last for me but I just zone 4’d this one till the last climb where I put in an effort to work the legs. Just wasn’t at the races tonight but glad I got the challenge route finished. First race in a very long time where no one quit so i didn’t get to make up any places either. 😀😏

was a bit surprised at the end to take first place, I had the impression that Simon was stronger throughout the entire race. …. a lucky punch, or maybe Simon didn’t expect a final sprint neither ,-)

Great race again tonight, however I was feeling a little tired at times on this one as it was my 6th race of the week. As usual started off ok, but later on in no man’s land for most of the race, saw frankiep77 behind me gradually catching me think we rode together for a few km then came a decent and he put the power on 7w/kg that was me again on my own to the finish line. Still happy with my time beating my PB for this route by 3.5 minutes
