8pm and 12 riders who did the warm up race have made it over to the main race. 3 riders didn’t make it over and just stuck with the warm up race, and 3 entered this one with nice fresh legs to hopefully have an advantage!

Simon_Hahnenbruch” won again! tired legs or not, this guy is a machine and congratulations on winning both races tonight. “feelslikemonday” gave him a good run for his money though, coming over the line just 36 seconds behind in 2nd. Rounding off the top 3 was “PatrykS_Gdynia_PL” with yet another podium finish of the night. 4th was muckers worldwide rider “tomlerieger” who was only 10th in the warm up race! kudos to him for saving enough for the main race to give a great performance for the team here. Same goes for 5th place “denny44” who only came 13th in the warm up so a great show from the German rider who is becoming a regular now and I feel a podium is coming soon from this rider if he just gets that route that suites his style.

6th was “vascolando” , 7th “Tom-MWW” and 8th came “rouvy1bryon“. These 3 finishing within just 10 seconds of each other. I Wonder if this was the order at the bottom of that last hill climb? 9th was muckers worldwide rider “Andy_UP” who took the warm up race nice & easy, finishing in 15th place, but doing really well in the main race and even more impressive due to just coming out the other side of an illness! finally the last place in the top 10 went to “lyndonjw” who finished just 2 seconds in front of “kylofski” That must have been an interesting last climb.

as per usual, please post a comment on how the race went for yourselves as its really interesting to read what happened from your perspective.

Although I was not able to ride this week, I appreciate the reviews so I can get a sense of how it went. Good work to Tom and Andy_Up for being in top ten.

“Mucker1974” named it a warm up race but 550 hm is more than an easy warm up for me. Took it easy and tried to save some energy for the main race.
The first 4km of the main race were slightly sloping and we were a big group of muckers riding at 45km/h into the first hill. Try to keep the speed into the uphill section. Soon our group felt apart. At the top of the first hill we were three, “Andy_Up”, “tomlerieger” and me fighting for position five. After a quick downhill ride the second and last hill with 340 hm was waiting for us. “Andy_UP” was pushing hard. I noticed that he also saved some energy at the warm up race and he is a mountain goat. So it is just a matter of time when he will fly away from us. Just tried to stay with him. But the big surprise for me was “tomlerieger”. He was going crazy. The entire uphill climb in a range of 3.7 – 4.0 W/kg. After 10 Min we got the rider at position four and passed him. The speed was to high for “Andy_UP” and he had to break off. The gap to “tomlerieger” was increasing slowly but steady. After climbing 15 min with an average of 310W I had to slow down a bit. My legs were just tired. At the top the gap to “tomlerieger” was 80m and I knew this is to much. Had a comfortable lead to my chasers. What I have to do was just to bring it home safely at position 5. Really enjoyed the race and challenge with “tomlerieger”. He did great. I was happy with myself, excellent power average and beating “Andy_UP”. But I wasn’t sure if he was going all in after his sickness. Probably not ☹

Just to be clear, I gave it all Daniel. Didn’t want to go 2 riders I normaly can compete with, but just had to. My values are not (yet) pre-illness but not so bad either. I think you and Rieger Thomas are getting stronger! Those were impressive values you two put out in the main race, after a “warm up” climb. Impressed.

i loved that first bit riding together in a big group as that just allowed me to stay close and in the draft. then it went “downhill” once we hit the uphill for me! still a really good race.

I did a warm up ride before the warm up race! At my age I learned, you have to be well heated up to perform. The warm up race was just climbing 539Hm, not my kind of a race. Tried to keep 3W/kg steady but I had to fight for it. Was already tired at the finish and was not shure if I should start for the main race. During the break I eat some „Traubenzucker“ = DextroEnergy to recover. During the first climb my goal was to stay in my group and can draft during the downhill. I felt better and better in the climb an we had a nice group with Danny44 and Andy_up. I tried to keep the power between 3.7 and 4.0W/ kg and the HR not over 160 bpm, was not shure if it will work out until the top but when I saw Andy and Dani getting slower and 4th place was in reach I got some extra energie for the finish! Was really surprised about my performance! Next time I will do a pre warm up before the warm up before the warm up race; thats is my secret game plan for the Muckers race nights! Cheers Tom
