MUCKERS 2026 NOVEMBER CHAMPIONSHIP RACE 1.

ROUTE AND RACE DETAILS:

Ait Benhaddou | Morocco | 11.25 miles | 1,247 ft. elevation

ROUVY SAY: Ride through striking desert landscapes as you leave Aït Benhaddou, the renowned fortified village along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. The terrain rolls hard for most of the way, climbing far more than it descends through punchy ramps and short drops for a testing exploration of southern Morocco’s High Atlas foothills.

WE SAT! It’s TT time! But not a fast downhill like last month, this one is a tough staggered climb that will take concentration and power to set a good time! Did you manage it??? Remember there’s no draft in any of the races on TT day so this is a real test and comparison across all the start times to see where you are!

FULL LEADERBOARD RESULTS FROM THIS RACE:

*Points before Ballast Added.

Only 85 riders stuck to the 1 rule we have on TT night and that’s to make sure you are supplying heart rate data. We don’t disqualify for over 5.0w/kg average or males under 60 kgs, so well done to all the riders below for sticking to our simple inclusion rule today and you now have some points on the board for the month!

THIS MONTHS TOP 100 LEADERBOARD SO FAR:

*Ballast added to this table

The Aim here is to get into the top 50 positions by the end of each 4 week period. If you do, you get World Championship points that are updated every month for the year.

Top 10 at the end of the Month get ballast added which is basically a percentage figure your points get deduced by.

We use your best 10 Months Out of 12 for the world championship.

WHATS NEXT TO COME:

Remember you are more than welcome to come and race with us on any of our races even if the championships are of no interest to you. The more the merrier!! These championships are just here as extra motivation and fun ways to train.

Sunday Hill Climb (aka the Sunday hill climb championship)

Tizi N Tichka Pass | Morocco | 27.66 miles | 3,340 ft. elevation

Search “Muckers Sunday” in the event search function on ROUVY to find all the scheduled climbs we have created so far. All start times included in the championship.

Tuesday Race Night (aka the w/kg training championship)

The 2.3 night! we use:

Aït Youl to Timsout | Morocco | 20.6 miles | 1,818 ft. elevation

Search “Muckers Tuesday” in the event search function on ROUVY to find all the scheduled races we have created so far at the 6 different start times. All start times included in the championship

We also have a Warm Up race just before the main start time where we’ve squeezed a current challenge route in starting at 18:35:

The Rad Dirt Fest | Burdo Canyon | Colorado | 10.72 miles | 354 ft. elevation

Thursday Race Night (aka the world championship)

Round 2 and back to full on draft racing. We use a challenge route that has a bit of everything in it:

Big Sugar | Pineville | Missouri | 19.5 miles | 1,575 ft. elevation

Search “Muckers championship” in the event search function on ROUVY to find all the scheduled races we have created so far at the 7 different start times. All start times included in the championship

TO FINISH OFF:

A few quick announcements. ROUVY seems to have had a bit of a strange one tonight with some average speeds showing faster the further “down” the leaderboard you go. The finish time is what we go off though so don’t worry if you ever see this. It can also be down to starting late, where the clock has started ticking but you didn’t move. But it’s just something we wanted to let you know we do see it from time and it’s not anything to worry about.

Hopefully you’ve seen the new AI created blogs for our Tuesday and Sunday championships? Because those 2 are “simple” to work out, the AI bots seem quite happy doing those ones so we will leave them to it. Kyle is overseeing them so they aren’t exactly taking over the world, but the blogs they create in a few seconds would take me an hour or so to do! But i want to keep this Thursday one “real” if that makes sense. Full of all my grammar mistakes and my long winded explanations for the simplest things, i love doing this blog on a Thursday night so as long as you guys are happy with a human doing this one, then i will carry on!

Thanks for everyone’s input into the question i asked last week about running a single month or a dual month championship next year. Seems people really wanted to talk categories instead 😂😂. But we got some really good feedback and it just looks like people want to see more movement and getting riders into the correct category asap. We totally get that, but i hope you can trust i will study all the options and come up with a few tweaks here and there to hopefully make it better. It still needs to be fun though which is why we did the category bonus points in the first place. Whatever we do, it won’t be radical, as sometimes a big shift can create something bad we didn’t envisage and as you also know, once we set something going for the year, we really hate to have to change it as i personally feel it ruins the whole year long aspect to the worlds, especially if a few months points were done at one set of rules and then the next lot of points via a different set of rules…wow, just typing that last sentence made me nauseous lol

I think that’s it. The TT blog will be out in a few days time so keep an eye out of that.

As per usual, i really look forward to your comments as it really is my Saturday morning breakfast ritual now! Get up, make my breakfast and come into the office and read all your comments and reply if i feel i need to.

Thanks to you all for taking part and lastly a special thanks to all that read this to the end. Appreciate it.

Do you know what i loved about tonight? 7 points gap to 4worldpeace!!! 💪💪😂. Finally i get top 50 and my closet rival get stuck in my usual 51st place. I’ve gotta be happy with that! But it was probably the most focused I’ve been in a while on a Muckers TT race. I think the recent Wednesday night races on the GWA have really got me a bit more “race ready” and a better understanding of how to use my erm legs/body/brain combo to get the best out of them all if that makes sense?

I set off steady, not wanting to go over 3.0 at all but just stay close to it as i bring my hr up to a nice level, rather than the rocket start which then leaves me gasping for air and in desperate need of recovery. So the steady start means I’m not high in the order at all, but this is a 35 min hill climb so i need to conserve and see if i catch anyone. I’ve also set myself the target not to drop down onto the small ring on the front, all in the aim of keeping momentum going, so when i hit those parts i really want to change down on, i am instead out of the saddle and grinding up the climb eagerly looking for the profile to turn to a “nicer” color!

It did seem to take an age to catch up to my rivals, but first i caught stelvio who always gets an amazing start, then I’m catching 4world but he’s a but harder to shake, but eventually i do and then i see i am catching sunniva, on a climb!!! But i try to stay focused and then try to empty the tank on the last climb to see if that gets me in touch. I think i saw it get down to around 70ft, but then she hit the crest before me and pulled away as i was still climbing. I still kept the pressure on over the top and down the hill just to see if my aero set up and “weight” could catch her but she just held on!

But the relief after crossing the line and to be able to just relax was great. Really pleased with the result and feel it’s a good base for the rest of the month.

Neil, you were a truckin Mucker tonight. This was my first hard effort since mid June. Stopped hard riding, and hit the gym weights since then, trying to regain fast twitch muscles and thing neglected for so many years. Now, for November and December I will be seeing if I can maintain the gym gains, but one once a week workouts there, and start reintroducing the pain cave stuff into my life. The plan to be somewhat race fit by January 1. I was excited to be saying howdy to many friends, but in reality you were up the road. But ya gotta start somewhere. Tonight, almost all the time in my HR zone 7, legs felt good. Neil, I had a front row seat as you came by late in the course, and became aware that you had given your all and were down to fumes. Great effort. And Sunniva, I had decided fairly early on that I was not going to catch you. I was gaining nothing when we hit the climbs. And then, going thru that village climb near the end I had my head down and pedaling with all that I had, and there you were. Nice way to finish. We were both 3.1 w/kg. Kudos…… Now maybe a bit of the hills on Sunday, and the club competition starts (looking up to you Eddy D and ValRzd) and so it goes, but first a nap. Cheers

I’ve had plenty of reasons to be pleased lately, both inside and outside my “torture cave” 😂. After three days of intense racing and a 155km ride—plus a brutal race in another championship on Wednesday evening—Thursday arrived: a sacred day. I had to jump into the 10:30 AM slot; my legs felt heavy, but the drive was still there. My motto—”never give up”—was absolutely essential today. The course was tricky—a sort of “fake” time trial—but I managed to finish second behind the formidable EddyDomino, securing a fantastic result. Later that evening, while at work, I took a quick look at Strava to check on my direct rivals in the A4 category—all of them are strong, and to top it off, my beloved “Spanish Bull” is in the mix too… guys, it’s going to be an insane month! 🔥🔥🔥 My time looks promising… and, to my surprise, I’ve taken 1st place in the A4 category! I’m going to savor this, at least until next Thursday. 😎 Thanks to all my friends—see you at the next incredible challenge! 👋💪🦈

Did two GWA races this week, but they were both supporting teammates, and Mucker Tuesday was 2.0, so maybe I’m fresh? fresh-ish? But I’ve lost a little bit of fitness this summer, for reasons, and so my plan was to go out at 3.6 W/kg and hopefully pick it up towards the end. Of course, that was all out the window once the race started! Set off at 4 and was still averaging 3.9 20 minutes in. It helped immensely when MatthiasHeil appeared on my Nearby list. Caught him halfway, but he wasn’t giving it to me. It took until the last ramp before I finally got a gap on him. Also had nice battles with Sublac and Wolli.d. Dave12, one of my A2 rivals by the looks of it, was just ahead, but I never managed to reel him in. Still, I’m very pleased with that 3.8 W average, and my best 10, 20, and 30 minute powers in the past six weeks.

Looking at the top 50 chart, now that it’s November, some of that ballast is getting heavy for some folk. It actually looks like positions 8 through 20 are in play for some shuffling race-by-race. November is going to be fun!
