MUCKERS DECEMBER CHAMPIONSHIP RACE 3. 19/12/24
NEWS:
Not much to report, we covered most of it last time. But how about a quick reminder that in January there’s an interesting event coming that spans the last 2 weeks in January. The OMG world tour. Keith from the OLDGITS is running this and he’s asked us and GRC to support it as well. Details will start to be released properly over the next few weeks but we will be using our Muckers Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday normal slots in conjunction with the series. So we will still have our races scheduled (we’ve even been able to stick to the Muckers core of using challenge routes on the week day races) but will be titled a little differently with the OMG title. have a look for the races on the events tab by searching OMG.
Remember the last round of this months championship has 2 days worth of races on the same route to set a time rather than the 1 day. You can have as many goes as you like as NITEOR will save your best effort!
Also thanks for all the input into the new 2025 world championship rules and regs. Seems most approve and its been interesting reading how you see things from your point of view and if they were valid for the whole rather than the individual. Some things might get a little tweak but overall its staying the same. Thanks again.

EXTRA TIME SLOTS REPORT: 54 finishers all in
2LATE4ME: Great start to the extra time slots with this Wednesday night race getting 9 finishers, and not just that, a fight for the win!! This was won by RJL1925 (nice stats) just in front of Jettro (nice stats) then in 3rd place we have litespeedmarc (strange stats with some very flat but long consistent power and low HR. please check this is all ok please)
2EARLY4ME: just had the 3 finishers so just 1 mention here. It goes to Fabio181171 (nice stats)
RISE&RIDE: well this was a strange one. 49 registered and if you look at the leaderboard on ROUVY we have 23 official finishers, then at the bottom of the leaderboard we have a DSQ and weirdly a “finished”! Nice one rouvy! what does that mean?? as he isn’t with the rest of the finishers and doesn’t have any stats or finish time… who’d want to be a race organizer eh!? So we have to go with the leaderboard and we have gold going to regular strong rider Hans.Holm.Moeller (nice stats), silver to Jorgethu (ok stats) and bronze to dutertre (NO HR DATA)
EARLY-ON: we get 8 finishers here, with marcomartins (nice stats) in first, stebrand (nice stats) in 2nd and Seyr (NO HR DATA) getting 3rd.
LATER-ON: 11 finishers tonight with DukeNorton (nice stats) getting the Gold, kinnaidj (NO HR DATA) getting the silver and final mention for the Extra time slots going to michalgraczak (NO HR DATA)
MAIN RACE REPORT:
219 registered for the main race these week which meant we got 119 finishers! That’s a nice result and thank you to you all for that, all we hope is you had a great time! We feel this was a great race route and we hope you do too.
So top 20 hitters getting mentions….. again…. yet only 1 or 2 have bought a mention T-Shirt. 🤔🤔🤔 Maybe we should move on and do 21st to 40th instead if the blog mentions are just getting a bit old hat for these guys nowadays 😉😉
Nahh, we live in hope and i am a stickler for the rules and the way we do things! So lets just pretend we’ve never mentioned any of these guys and they are new to Muckers Races and it is Xmas and I am feeling a little silly tonight….
so tonight’s winner, and possible 70s alien is Alieno79, followed closely by our very own nudist rider BareRemi in 2nd place. 3rd goes to drunk English rider breers33 ( yeah i know that’s a stretch but it’s gonna get worse ) and 4th to Manchester City striker who likes to play his guitar in the sun ErlendSundstrom!! Riding backwards into 5th comes STADLER-TONI, then the underscore king and hater of capital letters karel_sousek in 6th with goodeskums nemesis Badeskum in 7th. Scrabble champ przemokrk gets 8th, with underscore wanna-be king but cool with caps Stefan_Schmidt in 9th. 10th place and singing “rawhide” comes lrollin. ( yep, i am now struggling but i am committed to this now!!)
11th mention goes to Muckers Team rider but top 10 let down nielsbrynnum, then in 12th comes PeterOldGit who still to this day wonders why the other Little Dickie Bird followed him off and back on the wall!! who knows….Random letter arranger jvlieghe gets 13th, Star-wars fan who forgot Luke’s name FlyingSkywalker gets 14th, then Angry but likes 4 dots Gil.Mad.io in 15th. (phew, only 5 more to go now… )

good race, got going quite well, got with a few muckers then when GREP. came along, we latched on like the hungriest of babies and drafted our hearts out as he dragged us along catching up to quite a few groups up ahead. I was burning a lot of matches keeping with this pack and pace, so when we hit the last part with the climbs, i had to let them go and revert to my temp of 3.0 for the climbs and get to the end. Now in 50th in the worlds so lets see how the last race goes!!
It was my pleasure to draft the legend like you and next Muckers under the final climb. I had a problem on the delayed start because of the requested ROUVY update. So I began the race on 122 post and by individual time trial I was jumping forward from one group to next up to yours. There I felt a chance to say you “thank you for the all organization of these races and other things around” at least by saving your energy on the flatter part of the race and bring you to next group ahead. When we then got mixed, some riders from this bigger group wanted burn more watts so I leaded them futher and let you died in the hill as a hero 😀 . I wish you merry Chrismass and New Year with next nice miles in the legs.

Wait. Can we stop with the rainbows and the unicorns? Just bring back the techno! Strong lineup with undulating profile. Proper warm up, but not best legs recognized. Maybe because of too much xmas shopping today, who knows, who cares. Up to twenty riders stayed together and it took 15-20 minutes until one could refresh for a while.
Followed by two short and nasty bumps, everyone trying enter it with best drafting position. After second bump we stayed only eight, losing few big guns. Final km was again uphill and this time the strongest five escaped, followed by me and with little distance by other great riders. Very hard race, very honest. Thank you all who joined us.
I promised Neil that I would do everything to stay in the top 10 even though it has been almost clear for 2 months that it won’t work. On Wednesday in the stage to Seville I couldn’t even maintain 2.5 W/kg due to pain in my knees, later on Cypress Hill it was better. I spent a long time choosing the frame and wheels combination and in the end I probably chose the right one, although the second option would have turned out almost the same. The result could have been better, but I know that at that moment I couldn’t do more. Before the last race, the projection for December for the championship is such that DonMatteo_07 will almost certainly keep his 8th place, Mads (Grochang) will move to 9th place. Andy_Up could hold 12th place ahead of Tranberg. And in the fight for the top 10 it will depend on how much I fall in December and how much Przemek moves up.
So all in again in the last race.
In addition, an absolutely tight fight for the title, which we mortals are watching from afar.
