Sunday Mornings………. Such a strange time to suddenly be racing hard on your indoor trainer while the rest of the household are fast asleep, with some sleeping off Saturday nights alcoholic consumption and also what I should be doing! But, I get up early, get breakfast done in plenty of time to digest and soon I’m warming up on the bike at 8:45am on a Sunday morning! Its the joy/bug of cycling, indoor or outdoor!
34 riders from around the world were all here on the start line for this 21 miler which only had 900 ft of climbing so not something that was too worrying for most. The top 23 riders completed this in under the hour mark which averages out at a really fast speed at just over 21mph.
1st over the line came a new rider to my races “VlastikLfKlidu” with a time of 49 minutes and 14 seconds. This riders strava report shows an average power of 378w!!! That is some power output for nearly 49 minutes! Well done! Silver goes to “PatrykS_Gdynia_PL” with this regular podium rider getting the 2nd place with an average power of 312w and just 27 seconds behind 1st. Bronze goes to “Ewa_S“, who was a further 23 seconds down the road with a very respectable 265w average power for the whole route.
Next came 4 riders, from 4 different countries. in the 51 minute zone. 4th was “Sommie“, 5th “teamojo“, 6th “Francois_Prd” and 7th came the Portuguese rider “PRuivo“. 2 more Portuguese riders followed in with “prega” in 8th and “Sergio1964” in 9th.
As most of you know, I only mention the top 10, which is a shame due to amount of strong riders today, but the last spot of the top 10 goes to “patslack” coming over the line with a time of 0:53:26.8
So, quite a few new riders to my Muckers races today and can I just say thank you to everyone for jumping on and making it a great race. If you are reading this, please, please, please, pop a comment on and let us know how the race went for yourselves as its always interesting to get that other perspective on the race!
cheers

23rd for me today and even so, i had one of my best races in a while. was around 25th at the start then soon teamed up with TomaszMaczka and we reeled in 2 riders who were quite far in front of us and allowed them to ride with us for a while until we put the hammer down again and dropped them. We were both still together right to the end, but he put in a much stronger sprint than myself to well beat me over the line. Totally enjoyed the whole route and race.
11th. Not enough elevation to be able to claim a good classification. Tried many times to make my traveling companions pass through the window on the rare rising parts, without any success. While I took a few meters ahead at the top of the bumps, they easily came back to me on the descents and I ended up paying for my efforts.
Special mention to the winner, impressive!
thank you so much for the comments. you weren’t far off a mention yourself but 11th is superb in such a big rider count. I’m getting a little suspicious about the winner to be honest so you might end up in the top 10 after all , just waiting for Rouvy to investigate and get back to me. Thanks again for jumping on the race and commenting on the race report.
I had a lot of fun during today’s race. I wanted to go 200 watts + alone but I’m glad I met you Neil and we could work almost the whole race together. See You next time!
We worked well together. definitely hope to see you next time!
