A nice 36 riders were waiting on the start line for this interesting Scandinavian route, With 9 of them “Muckers Worldwide” team riders. I Will remind you guys every now and then that if you would like be part of the team, then just by reading this, you are in! the fact you’ve done our race and then decided to have a little read of the report, shows you are a Mucker!!
The race started with the 36 of us pretty much going into a 2 mile climb, climbing nearly a quarter of the climbing total in just that short of a distance. An excellent start if you’re a strong climber out of the gate, but not so good for those of us who just climb to get it out of the way to enjoy the downhill!!
With a time limit of just 65 minutes before the 2nd race, you really didn’t want to loose too much on this start so it looked like everyone was putting in some nice readings to get over this first climb.
“hinsbergen” outsprinted his team mate “adampel” to claim this win, with “feelslikemonday” coming over the just 0:00:00.2 behind in 3rd! All in the 42 minute bracket as well. superb effort and must have been an enjoyable sprint finish! for once these three didn’t have a massive gap to the rest, with “Pfeffer” coming next just a minute behind those three, with “Pol_Florens” just another 30 seconds behind in 5th. Well done!
Looks like we had a sprint for 6th with “stijn1” just getting the better of regular racer “PatrykS_Gdynia_PL”
Nearly a minute later the Italian “alvisemion” came over the line in a fine 8th, just in front of what looks like a three-way battle for 9th and 10th! Maybe, they knew 11th wouldn’t get a mention…… πππ anyway…… “jakimati” claimed a strong 9th with “robbiedoo” claiming that last place in the top 10!
34 out of the 35 riders finished in under the 65 minutes so timing were good for anyone who fancied the 2nd race.
cheers for reading and please comment as there was a lot of riders on here and i guess there must have been a lot going on!!

26th for me, and one of my most enjoyable races. A bit of chat on the Muckers Worldwide Whatsapp group before this race about maybe trying to peloton this but it was just too hilly for me to commit but I did promise to stay over 18/19 mph and if/when ever I dropped below that speed I’d keep my power over 3.2 w/kg until i got over it again. All in the name of getting the route done in under an hour. That first hill was LONG! but I kept to my promise and Rens and Jeff stuck with me. So I was able to recover in the draft but had to put in the effort as soon as i dropped below the magic 18mph on the hills. weird thing was it worked and we actually caught several riders who tried to ride with us but we eventually dropped them one by one. really interesting race and learned a lot. thank you to Rens and Jeff.
Great fun ,riding in a three, the time just flew by, thanks Rens and Mucker, for making it a most enjoyable ride, we must definitely form another peloton soon !
sounds good Jeff. I did feel at one point you had both gone as the gap went to around 100ft but you let me pull it back in so I thank you for that. was great fun.
Nice route this one. And some fast guys in it. Was on the back foot from the go but managed to ride my way up to 18th position. Caught a group of about 5 with 9k Togo and it was a big sprint to the line. Had fun as always and feel I’m getting stronger and fitter thanks to these races. Thaks Neil and Kyle for putting them on.
You can say that again Lyndon! I use to al least see you in my nearby list but even that doesn’t happen anymore and only see you were in the race when I see the results at the end!
They are great fun aren’t they, you really forget you are on a static bike/trainer in your spare room/garage/pain cave etc etc, racing against all these other people from around the world who are in a similar scenario, with all our other household members not having a clue hoe immersed you are right at that moment! Thanks for commenting and being part of the team!
Racing in beautiful scenery in Norway with extremely fast riders, congratulations to all!!
For me it was only enough for P19 this time. I started a few seconds late because I just got home from shopping. Although I was still able to reach P15 with a lot of strength, at least the first 25 minutes of my screenshots show me in this position, unfortunately, I was no longer able to reach the two super-fast rockets in front of me on P13/14. I wasted a lot of energy without a “wingman” on my side. π’
“Thunders in the storm… lalala”
In the second half of the race it started to heavily rain (sweat was dripping all over the ground π) and my touch display didn’t want to take screenshots with the slippery fingers anymore. A pity. So I couldn’t capture how a very dedicated professional group of 5 overtook me in their jet planes shortly before the end. π Their energy-saving tactics during the race were better thought out than mine! Well done, riding in this group!
On the last few hundred meters all 5 of the group passed me from the slipstream. ππͺ I was able to overtake the 5th back again, but that was it. πͺπͺ
Enormously demanding track, the flat parts of which didn’t really suit me.
I’ve learned that it’s better to manage your strength and use proper racing tactics. (riding in a group).
And maybe I should have better used my “doping method” with the potato soup again as in last Sunday’s race. π I will check that out the next time …
I’ve met some great and very fast racers and I’m really impressed. You did all great and much faster than me! π
