What a great night of racing on Rouvy.

we used all 3 routes for the Tohoku Challenge and after the three events, only 22 seconds separated 1st and 2nd.

Race 1 was a nice 10.3 miles with only 272 ft of climbing so it was a perfect drafting event. “feelslikemonday” just beat “peta.stancik” by the smallest margin possible : 0.00:001!!!!!!10 seconds later, “PatrykS_Gdynia_PL” crossed the line for a nice 3rd place. “Andy_UP” was the best placed “Muckers Worldwide” team rider with a very strong 7th place.

Race 2 started 35 mins later and was 11.44 miles long but with 416ft of elevation, so one for the climbers to be a little stronger on. “feelslikemonday” proved hard to beat however and finished a nice 3 seconds in front of “hinsbergen” who just finished in front of his teammate “adampel” by just 1 second. the best of the Muckers? you guessed it, “Andy_UP” with another solid top 10 performance in 7th.

Race 3 was a little tighter to get on as it was still scheduled for 35mins later even though the 2nd race was a bit steeper than the 1st but it looks like everyone who wanted to do all three races just made it! This was a tough race to finish the night on with 875ft of climbing for legs that have just raced hard already for 20 miles! “hinsbergen” won with a nice 8 seconds lead over his team mate ” adampel” with “PatrykS_Gdynia_PL” a further 15 seconds down the road in 3rd. “Andy_UP” made it 3 out 3 best of the Muckers Worldwide team placings with another 7th place.

So how about the overall results? “feelslikemonday” was the overall winner with the 4th best time in the last race just being fast enough to secure the best overall time. This is why we always say its not over till you cross the line! Well done! “PatrykS_Gdynia_PL” for a brilliant 2nd place over all with a solid 3rd/4th/3rd. And a massive congratulations to “Andy_UP” who showed consistancy with 3 7th place finshes to net a 3rd overall.

In summary, a great night of racing and we got a Rouvy challenged boxed off in one night! only 9 riders did all three routes so well done to all those guys and hopefully as we try to grow more over the next few years, we see these more riders having a go at these events.
