Riccitello Rises, Alvarado’s Miracle Comeback & Ratim’s 24-Hour Sufferfest

Muckers Weekly Round Up feb 15 2026

It’s been a weekend of “youth vs. experience” in the pro peloton, but for the Muckers, all eyes are turning towards next Saturday. While the pros are finishing their races in 4 hours, one of our own is preparing to ride for 24.

Here is the news you need to know, and the big event you need to join.

1. The “Mucker Spirit” Ride of the Week: Alvarado Wins with a Flat

If you ever need motivation to keep pushing when things go wrong, look at Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado’s ride in Brussels yesterday.

In the final cyclocross race of the X2O Trofee season, disaster struck: a front flat tire dropped her well behind the leaders mid-race. In true “Mucker” fashion, she didn’t pack it in. She chased down the entire field, caught World Champion Lucinda Brand on the final lap, and sprinted to victory. It was the perfect end to the cross season—proof that it’s never over until you cross the line.

2. The Young Guns Take Over

While we were busy on Zwift (just kidding, Rouvy), the road season crowned a new American star.

  • Matthew Riccitello (Decathlon CMA CGM) sealed the overall victory at the Tour de la Provence yesterday. The young climber held his nerve on the final stage to take the biggest win of his career.
  • Biniam Girmay survived absolute chaos at the Clasica de Almeria to take a sprint win, proving that staying calm is just as important as being fast.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: RATIM’S BIG DAY

This Saturday, February 21st, is the big one.

If you think a 100km Sunday Social is tough, spare a thought for Mucker legend Radim (RaTim). This Saturday, he is taking on a challenge that makes most pro races look like a warm-up.

The “RaTim 50@500” Challenge

  • The Goal: 24 Hours. 502km. 10,130m of climbing.
  • The Reason: Celebrating his 50th birthday, reaching Level 100 on Rouvy, and his 3rd anniversary on the platform.

How You Can Help Radim has split this massive effort into 21 separate races starting at 08:00 AM GMT. He isn’t asking you to ride for 24 hours (unless you’re crazy), but he is asking for company.

  • Hop in for one race: Give him a draft and some chat in the Discord.
  • Ride a stage: Join him on one of the special “Tribute Routes” dedicated to Muckers members like SillySilNL (Challenge Almere), Mucker1974 & Kylofski (IM Bolton), and Sharky (Virtual TotA).

How to join: Search “RATIM” on Rouvy to find the event list. Let’s fill those start pens and get him to the finish line!

Mucker’s Takeaway: Whether you are racing for a pro contract like Riccitello or just trying to survive 500km like Ratim, the goal is the same: Keep pedaling.

See you on the start line this Saturday!

Kyle is a digital writer for MuckersWorldwide.com I've been out riding all over Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire for the last 12 years. It is mainly to keep fit as I love food and would be 16st if I didn't ride my bike at least 3 times a week. This leads me to Muckers Worldwide, as when the weather is un-rideable (fair weather cyclist) I move indoors to cycle on Rouvy. We have a large group of races that we race throughout winter in the UK. Hope you come and join us on a Tuesday & Thursday title of the races are "Muckers". Thanks, Kyle
