Salmon River Reservoir | New York | 25.1 miles | 1,243 ft. elevation
Nice Race route this, from the Easy Coast Cruise challenge that ends in 1 weeks time. We had a great turn out for the main race with over 100 on the line which is a great turn out for a race in May, yet alone a long route from a challenge that’s nearly over! Thank you for the support and hope those on the main race (and all the other time slots) had a great race.
Its 9pm and ROUVY still say i can join both of the last races, so lets see! Yep, no riders still on the 6:30pm version, and….. no riders on the 7:30 version! So its time to manually end the races on NITEOR while ROUVY still figures out if they should end them or not…..
124 riders finished the event so lets see how many dsq’s we have tonight: No riders went over 5.0w/kg, 27 riders had no heart rate data on show and 3 males below 60kgs. leaving us with 94 riders getting points tonight.

TOP 3 CAT. A9 RIDERS FROM THIS RACE: UNDER 2.3 W/KG
Excellent Racing tonight. Really hope you enjoyed it and please remember to stick to the 3 easy rules to be included:
HR data has to be recorded/shared with ROUVY
Don’t average over 5.0w/kg for the race
If you are a male rider, don’t have your weight set under 60kgs. Even if you are lighter than this, the lowest allowed rider weight inputted onto ROUVY for the championship races is 60kgs.
co-founder of muckersworldwide.com and race organizer! Been into cycling since a kid and spent most of the time on BMX and mountain bikes. Took me longer than most to get the road cycling bug but I was bitten around 5 years ago when I finally got a fully fledged road bike that fitted and I let the flat handled road bike go...
rapid start to get up with the big guns for the first bit saw a top position of 3rd place for a few seconds, but obviously this would all become a distant memory once we hit the first climb lol. after the climb, i was still in the top 45 places and in a very good group so stuck it out till about 6 miles from the end and we started to hit the “longer than a kicker” climbs and i was dropped! Paced it home, making sure i still got it done in under 60mins which was my goal before the start. Good race and got myself into 2nd place in my category after being in 7th before this race. Bring on next week!
It was a nice race for me, I know that for more of half route I should to ride with a top group but don’t break the equilibrium. When start the 3/4 kickers at the end there can be the different and I try to hold a good pace. Very well ride with many friends, and at the final I can find a first position in A7 for think to employ at the last two races. We look forward at the next. 👋🦈
Another nice ride, thank you all!
As someone who is exceptionally terrible at pushing myself or being disciplined during solo workouts, I find pushing myself in these races with you guys it is so much easier 🙂 Trying so hard not to get dropped by a group that’s just a bit faster than yourself is the most fun workout I can think of and my stats are improving because of it. Yesterday was another great example of this; I’m really happy I found these races 🙂
Wow, thank you for the comments! That was really great to read. I think our ideas of “the most fun” workout are slightly different though as i much prefer to be in the middle of the pack and not in that “oh noooooooo i can’t close the gap!!” last in the pack place 😂🥵🥵🥵🥵
Glad you are enjoying racing with us as it’s great to have you along as well!. good luck next time!
Came back completely frozen from long outdoor ride, so why not join Muckers race, where the heat is given? I used only half of bidon outside for all ride, thus only changed clothes and started de-freezing process. When the race started, main concern was stay in lead pack over short climb after start. You never know, especially as i never did Rouvy race after 200+ km ride. Test passed and my confidence started to grow, because next sections were mostly flat.
Lead pack with 20+ riders, yet i was extra careful. Also my 1,5 bidons started to disappear too quickly and after 2/3 of race i had one last piece. The toughest part came with little climbs. I stayed enough long to be within top10, despite best of best left. I catched Niels and hoped we can work together, but when he slipped away in next climb, i continued solo till the end. Very interesting experience, thank you all who joined us!

well done on this one, you’ve got this months category win in the bag as long as you turn up for the last 2 races and ride like you have been doing!
Another nice ride, thank you all!
