MUCKERS JUNE CHAMPIONSHIP. RACE 3 20/06/24
ROUVY Route Used : Tour de Suisse 2024 | Stage 1 – Vaduz | 2.7 miles | 114.83ft climbing
Introduction:
No real introduction needed. ROUVY decided to include a 3 miler in a challenge so we had to have it as a championship race! So lets see how the extra time slot races did first and how high they can position themselves for points in the main race.
Less than 50 registered for the main race so stats checks for everyone today.
Cheers Everyone and hope you had a great little race!

MUCKERS June Championship Race 3. VADUZ
Very short prologue as official race. 5min of group ride and sprint, where i would need fresh legs to finish better. Thank you all who joined and congratulations to sprinters!
MUCKERS ADD-ON RIDE. CHALLENGE ALMERE
Bonus race after quickie one. Distance ok, just again flat all the way up. Yet this one was more fun with few attacks here and there. I underestimated drinking after running before and two bidons were not enough with hot inside the room, so had to ride carefully not get cramps during attacks. We dropped few riders and again ended up in nice sprint, where i produced more watts than in 5min race before, yet podium was far away. Overall i liked both races, thank you all who joined.
My 3rd time on Vaduz. First time was our GRC race finished 5:36, next I did a JR mode chasing Bruce Bird’s PB and got a 5:21, and finally yesterday followed the Muckers Top Guns in a full wheelsucker-mode and got 5:14. Drafting is great, it is the only chance I could keep up with these heavy hitters but they simply suck the life out of you before you reach that final moments. I again came dead last of the 9 way sprint. But what is better in the end? Losing the sprint for a top 10 finish or winning a midpack sprint for the 30th place? I’ll take the top 10 result on any day. Good to be back with the Muckers again, see you guys on another one.
A 4 km sprint race? Not the kind of thing I’m good at. If I could get a 5-minute power best for the year, I’d take it and be happy. And that’s what I did. The only scare was ludwigdb passing with a few hundred meters to go. OMG Ludwig! How did you do that? He’d been 40 m back the last time I checked. But he was trashed from catching up and I was able to outsprint him. Whew.
